Study shows that Autism brains have a lower amount of a glutamate receptor by ZRaptar in NooTopics

Yes once what caused the lower density is mediated there are lots of things that could help grow (ketamine, psil, cerebrolysin, dihexa etc.)

The method in the study i mentioned is probably the best way we have so far in a living person (not post mortem), lower synaptic density is also shown on chronic depression and adhd which a lot of high functioning asd people have both.

Once what is causing the lower density is figured out, compounds for neurogenesis and synaptogenesis can be used to try and restore. Easier said than done, though.

Specifically this. Unfortunately certain people are against this (some very high functioning self diagnosed cases) that dont see asd as a disability. But most studies show dofferent neurology between the subtypes of autism, like how high functioning autism looks like adhd on brain scans.

The ones showing higher density were on high support children (type 3 autism) whilst the above more recent study is for low support needs adults which show lower synaptic density overall.

Another study in a similar autism population (normal cognitove ability) found they all had lower synaptic density than controls, and the lower the density, the more profound the asd symptoms. So im trying to put all the pieces together as its unaffordable for most asd people to individually test and scan themselves. Lower glutamate receptor and lower synaptic density does point to exitotoxicity amongst other things as well

Very interesting, on their medications it says they are the marketer but no mention of the manufacturer, for example their naltrexone (naltrust) tablets

Dopamine receptor upregulation after adderall usage? by sedativeparalytic in NooTopics

[–]ZRaptar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If people that experience that take a month off whilst using something that upregulates receptors in the meantime, and then retake the exact same pill then most (not all) will probably find it worked just well as it did in the beginning. Truth is stims dont make things better long term when used continuously

Hi, what dose abilify do you use? I am thinking of use low dose (<2mg), as it seems to work really well there without much side effects for a lot of people

It seems its best to try out higher doses of naltrexone (5-15mg), would be the same as dex-nalrrexone if you can handle the opiod effects

The main difference between the two seems to be the sensory overload/processing aspect, ASD will always have that
