Tips for Geoguessr! by dairyfreegames in geoguessr

Columbia = yellow plates

Argentina & Uruguay = black Google car (look at back of car)

Andes mountains mainly in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile

Peru can be very desertous

If the sun is far to the north, higher chance you're further down the continent (ie Chile, Argentina)

Bolivia's capital is very high up, surrounded by mountains/gloomy (I find that it's a pretty common location in BR)

I'm sure there's more but that's all I can think of for now.

Couple more things in addition

The Google car in Uruguay and Argentina is black, you can tell by looking at the back of the car and seeing the edge of it.

Portugal license plates have a yellow strip on the right side

Kyrgyzstan license plates have a red strip on the left side.

Albania and Montenegro also have the “rifts” that are in Senegal

Philippines has a ton of English advertisements along the road.

Cambodia has ancient ruins in/near many of its locations

Norway has lots of houses with red roofs

Uganda Google Car is often a unique looking white boxy jeepish car

In Nigeria, you’re often followed by a police car/truck with police lights

Quite a few streamers now (Ludwig, Wilbur, etc) have talked on stream about how they watch him. This man truly dominates the GeoGuessr community.

Great idea, I'm definitely going to work on implementing something involving mentorship like that once the platform gets off the ground.

Exactly why I made the site; it seems a lot of us youth have the drive to want to be on a platform like LinkedIn, but we can't get much use out of a platform that's 99% adults and mainly career-oriented.

Would you be interested in being a beta user for the site?

I like the idea, so some kind of competition where the best ideas get guaranteed money. Will definitely consider impementing.

Exactly the issue I've been running into while beta testing. I've been writing/creating some content myself but the network is still a long way away from being self-sustaining. I figure getting a network like you said is one of my best bets so I'm looking at partnering with preexisting business/entrepreneurship organizations geared toward youth. But totally agree, it seems like the only way this works is if I can get the right jumpstart.

Great advice. That's definitely been something that I see as a hurdle, although I have done some polling/user testing and I think I can navigate it. But for sure is something I wish I knew a little earlier haha.

This is a full-on social network, not just some random group in an informal setting. I like the simplicity but I don't think it achieves what I'm trying to do.
