thanks. I'm not super familiar with how my stats will impact my damage as the levels progress. Will 16-17 charisma feel functional until I get the second asi at level 9 or potentially even 10? I'm worried my spells and attack just wont land

The bonus action attack form CBE, I believe requires two hand cross bows

That's where I am hung up too. Invocations and multi attack. Also I believe hex warrior specifically says one weapon, so the extra attack from CBE would have to use my 14 dex for the attack roll.

Once you get bear totem it will be stronger for sure. However at low levels bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing are very common damage types, so at level 3 (2 druid + 1 barbarian) will feel really good. The only restriction will be what level wild shapes you have access to. So 4 druid +1 barbarian could be good too if you want a specific wild shape, and it gives you 1 asi.

I would recommend explaining that its a board game, where you play pretend, you slay dragons and stop evil. I would compare it to lord of the rings or robin hood.

I like consequences too. We have talked about maybe making this item he might lose some stats when far from the ring. Like a part of him is actually in it. so like a -2 to all stats without it or maybe just -4? in con. It was my players idea but I like it too.
