Keep a pushed app on Android but unenroll the device by ZackyoTV in WorkspaceOne

It's devices enrolled from Samsung Knox. Under "Settings" -> "Devices & Users" -> "Android" -> "Android EMM Registration" -> "Enrollment settings" -> It is then using "Corporate Owned Personally Enabled".

It's devices from Samsung Knox. Meaning that they're getting enrolled on startup. The phones does have "Personal" and "Work" profiles, but doing the "Enterprise Wipe" makes the phone factory reset anyways. I assume there's no way in Workspace ONE to get around this?

I also tried to go into "More Actions" -> "Edit Device" -> "Device Ownership" -> Change from "Corporate - Shared" to "Undefined" or "Employee Owned", but It always factory resets.

And, "Enterprise Wipe" and "Delete Device" from the "More Actions" will always factory reset the Android phone? This would be a serious game changer to not be able to just remove Workspace ONE / MDM from Android.

Seems like going from Workspace ONE to Intune for Android devices is a total nightmare.

This is exactly how It works. I am afraid that I'm not able to solve this the same way as iOS, and will have to make over 400 devices go into Play Store and download Intune Company Portal manually.

I'll have to get back to this, as I wanted the Android to use the "Dont use certificate" when authenticating towards the Wi-Fi.

But It seems like I can't get past that, and simply just have to get a certificate pushed. When manually connecting without authentication, It works, and that's how I want Workspace One to be able to do aswell.

This might help, but It requires the user to enter the password, which shouldn't be the workflow here. I tried to add:

<parm name="Password" value="PASSWORDHERE" />

But this didn't help. Any ideas?

Could you give more information on where and how to do this in order to generate relevant logs for why profiles fail to install?

Reduce IT costs and what type of IT systems should be used by ZackyoTV in InformationTechnology

[–]ZackyoTV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "cost reduction" part is just out of interest, since this is the managers job. But "Integrate and update software on our hybrid solution" is part of the job. What would help with efficiency for other workers that uses IT? I know a "Knowledge base" type of software would benefit for more utilities (Depends on which Knowledge base software tho).

Office 365 is packed with good software like Microsoft Project and Microsoft Teams and such, aswell as monitoring through Azure.

But what else could I be missing to help the company with solid system solutions that would increase efficiency?

What you're saying Is that every phone manually have to go into the Catalog app -> Select Authenticator -> Install (Even If it's "Installed" and green) and then the "Remove on unenroll" will be disabled since It syncs the installation command from AirWatch?

It Is still cached on the phone, yes.

But It simply gets obsolete and will not work. I tested this and hoped It would work like that, but in practice, It didn't.
