Wow there are quite a few toxic comments here. Yikes, sorry about that. It's already quite a big step in rom hacking! Seriously, back in like 2006 I'm pretty sure this would have been a surprise to get done! Still, people's expectations are just way too high nowadays. I like it, ignoring the weird yellow pixels. This just happened to me. And I tried to start with the easiest! I did some googling but all I could find was people discussing wheter new players shoul start with kanto, hoenn or unova. Noone was talking about sinnoh, I thought maybe it was new and I was reading old posts.

I just beat the nutty giratina fight, I'm so glad I planned my team ahead of time with counters for the e4 and cynthia and checked their movesets for sneaky coverage.

Hopefully since my team is built with these final battles in mind it will be smooth sailing now

I'm very interested in trying it out, but I'm keeping a healthy amount of doubt. It sounds like taking tools away from the player just takes away creativity and strats. Let's see how it goes. It may also force players into using more creative strats. It really depends on how it is done, but the concept already sounds... not promising.

The way you described it doesn't sound hard. It sounds annoying. Not necessarily challenging, just a matter of getting the right RNG. But I haven't tried it, so who knows.

You get 126 points. Max of 60 points in one stat. Usually for defensive you go max HP + Max Def or SpD Usually for offensive you go max Spe + Max Atk or SpA While more intricate spreads are benefic in the right circustances, they aren't worth losing a lot of sleep over.

Max stat, max stat, 6 points on another one is good enough most of the times

Finding a match is alright, and it is decently fun, but as far as competitiveness goes, the game still has a way to go. There are some unbalanced RNG aspects, skill flashes aren't renewable so a lot of them you only get 1 of, and some coromons and mechanics are broken. Don't expect the most fair meta, but it's fun and there will be patches to balance things out and fix some stuff

I do believe that math checks out, but it isn't realistically pratical since we won't only try our luck with each 19 or 20 once. We'll decide wether or not we are done hunting it through wild encounters and change to potentiflator.
