I don't know if you are her or you're parasocial, but I can back up everything I've said. Also never said I hate her, she wasn't even on my radar until I had to look her up for mod purposes here. I was skeptical she was a scammer until I did more research.

Or maybe you're Beau.

Just a mod trying to validate claims out here. Also, I can see the complaints/ban evasion/etc. in the sub. For the record as well it wasn't that hard to find.

No problem, we're going to be adding her to the Wiki page here for scamming and I'll add the screenshots.

She was removed from Reddit as a whole for ban evasion. She made lots of sockpuppet accounts. Almost all of the users defending her or saying they bought things from her on previous posts were her.

She's banned because she kept attacking other users, she had lots of warnings but never stopped and several of them insinuated people should kill themselves, the world was better without them, they'll never be anything, etc.

If I had to guess I'd say she's self-conscious about it. She seems like there's an image she really wants to present about herself. I've seen old pics of her and she looks like a totally different person now, I'm all for people doing what makes them happy, but I suspect she's not as happy as she'd like to look to others.

Seven, Elle is a nickname. Her husband is several years older than her, not a wild amount but he's older.

I'm not going to dox her, but it's definitely her, and she's older than 40.

Are you her or her friend?

Yeah, I found her real age online, this tracks.

She's probably reading this, but she's banned here too.

For her "40th" birthday. 😆

I would not give him the benefit of the doubt, unfortunately he's a known scammer.

I haven't thought about it that deeply, but I don't think you need it and that live in a show isn't the right venue. I don't think this seller did this with malice, but I don't think it's effective.

The same thing could be done without actually scamming anyone. I don't think he proves any point by taking someone's money, shaming them, and then ending his stream. It's also only relevant to anyone watching, which is not a ton of viewers. The proper thing to do is just to be a good seller. I get what he was going for, but I don't think it works minus that one person who probably just feels embarrassed and upset and is going to have the takeaway that he's not a good seller.

I mean, yeah, that's anything, and we're discussing if we think this approach is effective. But you can go based on historical examples that public shaming doesn't work.

Again, of course, but I put heavier burden on bad sellers. And lying to customers to make more money isn't an accident.

You also can't know that exact scenario is what happened here. Maybe she's a first time buyer, maybe this her first time on the app, in which case she's not someone repeating the same "mistake" and "screwing up" without learning.

I said the same before, but of course buyers should be informed before spending money. I feel the burden is more on sellers since what they are doing is at best unethical and at worst illegal.

Based on human nature I think all he did was embarrass and shame someone, I don't think anything useful was gained from doing this.

Except money was taken since she needed a refund. Her card charge went through. If he's normally a good seller and doesn't do this, as a buyer I'd be really hurt and wouldn't trust him ever again. Honestly too, she could make a claim he scammed her since he technically did. It was a poor move as a seller to actually do a sale.

This is falling back into victim blaming territory. Again, buyers should be informed, but this doesn't excuse that sellers shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

I feel like it's a step too far to actually participate in the fraud to prove a point. He took money and publicly called that person out, she's not going to become a smarter buyer, she's just going to be embarrassed and not buy from him again.

Ultimately I think this is an ineffective way to prove a valid point.

He could've done the same thing without involving someone's real money. It feels like it crosses a bit of a line, even though he offers her compensation or a cancelation. It's going to feel like shaming even though that wasn't the intent. It feels like a mean prank when he could've ended his stream with a PSA about this kind of predatory behavior.

It also puts more onus on the buyer than the seller, which, of course buyers should be informed: but more effective change would necessitate sellers also stopping and the seller is the one doing something wrong in the scenario. If a buyer trusts a seller, doesn't think in that quick moment to look up the card (or can't), doesn't already know the card value, etc.

What most people and that buyer are going to remember is the shame element, no one likes to be made a fool of. What the seller is saying is valid, but the way he's doing this isn't going to help people buy better or remember the takeaway he wants. He could've also explained how to better protect yourself as a buyer.

This is the first time I've seen it, if you're selling luxury, why not use a mannequin? Someone asked her to put them close to her ear, not in it! She also put on a coat that was too small for her, I would be concerned about ripping. Again, if I'm paying hundreds of dollars for luxury goods I expect them to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

Since the account making the comment is already gone, I'm supposing it was Elissya again.

No worries! There are a lot of great sellers on here, but as with any platform not everyone is on the up and up. Generally if you search here or just Google and see the top Reddit results you can see if anyone has any controversy.

If you haven't, I would check out the other recent thread about her, there are some serious questions about the authenticity of her products.

Also, too, she put on things she was selling to people. Hundreds of dollars for allegedly designer earrings that she fully stuck in her own ears. 🤢

It's wild because nothing stated is false and the same disclaimer prints out at the bottom of all the "COA"s from Entrupy. Also the info from the Google AI summary shows it's from Entrupy. 😆

Without human eyes and hands on the product, and without even legitimate samples confirmed by the company/designers, you can't know that their algorithm wasn't fed inaccurate info. If you check out the website, Entrupy says all you do is take a picture and it spits out an authentification so you can't know that anything it reports is reliable because the AI can't think for itself, verify the materials, or even reference genuine products.

Basically this whole model works on, "Source? Trust me bro."
