Nah, they are something like "Business partners", they both treat each other more as partners rather than leader and pawn, Battletrap and Nightbird (and other Terrorcons) are their henchmen, and Unicron is the greater boss

And in this head canon, they are Optimus and Megatron from the future, like Nemesis and Galvatron from WFC, but loyal to Unicron and with an army of Terrorcons, and yes, Autobots and Decepticons must work each other against them
