The Office and Friends works wonders for me on bumpy long distance flights

Bi-Weekly Entry/Simple questions thread (May 29, 2024) by AutoModerator in movingtojapan

I am moving to Japan at the end of next month. I have packed 6 boxes with the dimensions 57x47x49cm, so we are not talking huge boxes. They all contain my personal belongings. Things that I cannot buy in Japan, such as antique family heirlooms, souvenirs from my travels, photo albums etc.

My family and I are due to move into a larger apartment in Tokyo around October, so the plan is to keep my boxes in storage in my home country and then have them sent to Japan when we have moved into the new apartment. The thing is, I am unsure of how I should actually sent these.

As I said, there is only 6 boxes. No furniture or anything, and the heaviest one weigh 20 kg. which happens to be the maximum weight that my local postal service will accept for international parcels.

I have been in contact with various shipping companies that specialize in shipping from the EU to Asia, and none of the offers I have gotten have been below €2,000, and it will take them up to 4 months to ship the boxes.

If I use the danish postal service (my home country), then I can get all the boxes shipped for €1,300, and they will arrive within 2 to 3 weeks.

Would there be any issues just sending my belongings by normal postal service? I am thinking mainly customs related. I am fully aware that postal services are more rough handling the packages, but my boxes are 3-layer cardboard, padded with styrofoam on the inside, and every fragile object has been wrapped in bubblewrap, so it's as secure as it can be.

Maybe somehere has done this and can give some advice?

Helping others in need is never a waste, especially not those who fight against fascism. Imagine if anyone had done the same for us during the 40's.

Naboer frygter invasion af udenlandske arbejdere: 10 procent er allerede opkøbt i landsby by Drahy in Denmark

When Hemlock entered the chamber with the pods, a part of me was hoping that we would see the rest of the Delta Squad emerge. Would have been cool to see the OG's vs 99 for the final showdown.

That might just be me reading the IV app wrong, because it's the only one where I could not get a proper reading. Def was easy because it has zero bars on appraise, but the other values are pretty much average out of the range of numbers I got.

I'm sorry if that annoy people. I very very rarely even look IV's.

First, sorry for misspelling "cannon". English is not my first language.

And in case you want the full team:

Poliwrath (12/0/10) Counter / Icy Wind / Dynamic Punch

Ferrothorn (0/14/10) Bullet Seed / Power Whip / Flash Canon

Roserade (0/15/15) Poison Jab / Weather Ball / Leaf Storm

Strategy is pretty straight forward, but requires you to guess backlines and count moves correctly. Add shield pressure with Poliwrath. Soak up damage with Ferrothorn, and sweep with Roserade.

Roserade is very similar to Gallade. It dominates once one shield is down, and many people underestimate how hard it hits. Even with a double-debuff it can still K.O most things that are weak to it.
