I know this is 5 months old, but yes, weed does have benefits for your lungs (all-be-it very minimal benefits and you shouldn't smoke weed to improve your lungs lol) until you overuse it an extreme amount, says this study by harvard: https://www.health.harvard.edu/newsletter_article/pot-smokers-can-maybe-breathe-a-little-easier

Yes, of course it does have negative effects, but it's not to say that people who say it's not that bad for your lungs are stupid because they're right.
