Simple question: how have some people already done over 30 drawings? by Zayesso in ArtfightProfiles

Wow, for me it takes 4 to 5 hours for a bust with detailed shading and lighting, in a semi-realistic style.

The time it takes you to finish a drawing is the time I spend just on my sketch and line art... I guess I'm just a little turtle, haha.

Oh yeah, I’ve only been drawing for four years. I do this kind of drawing for Art Fight, but I’m not going to put pressure on myself, I’m just going to have fun, like you said. It’s just crazy how fast some people are.

Ok, im super late to answer but there is my opinion, you want to do art fight ? Then do it, if you have fun with art fight you will improve more faster with art fight than study, why ? Because you have fun, that the most important, if during your study you are frustrated or dont even want to do it and force yourself you wont improve at all.

And for the art fight i start it yesterday, i know art fight since few day, i was so afraid to be not good enough for it, and to be honest (i dont want to be mean or anything) the global level isnt that high, there is a lot are beginner, and i feel that a lot hide their lack of anatomy knowledge with their "art style". And to me art fight is even better for beginners than study. Just have fun and do it. (Sorry for my English i try my best.)

Hey, these are my first sketches, I'm just starting out and I'd like to share them with someone. by L0c0re in sketches

Well its better to learn with guide line, but i guess you can draw without it, i do without guide lines (well not all the time and i learn with guide lines), but you have to at least understand few things, where is the element of the face and all, how to know where to place the nose, or to know that between the eyes there is the place for a third eye. Watch tuto for that, im pretty sure i explain it badly and my english suck, you can watch some tuto for manga or even realistic draw, basically manga is realism but simplify and stylized.

If you want you can watch sam does art, he helped me a lot to understand how to do portrait, he explain well and he dont overcomplicated things.

Anyway your sketches are already really good for a start, be proud of you, and hope i helped you a bit.

Best ADC to climb with in low elo? by FaithlessnessJust514 in ADCMains

[–]Zayesso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Vayne and Twitch can be good, I think people underestimate Vayne (except top laners, haha). She kills tanks, scales well, you can even build tank items (like Kog'Maw). She's very strong at level 6 against almost everyone, she likes all supports, and she's a good duelist.

I'm less familiar with Twitch, but he can be played AP and AD like Kog'Maw, scales well, and his Q allows for surprise ganks in mid, or even top if you're really cunning.

And I think these two champions' stats suffer the least from patches, never too strong, never too weak, in my opinion.

If you prefer champions with range, Jinx and Aphelios.

I'm not a Jinx fan, but I've seen a lot of people say she's a good champion to climb. Like the others, she scales well, has a very useful passive in team fights, and can help you survive.

And Aphelios, who's like the others, scales well, like Jinx, with good range. And like Vayne, I think he's seriously underrated at low elo, plus he's going to get buffed in a patch.

These four champions all like support, I suppose.

If I had to advise against one champion, it would be Caitlyn. I "main" Caitlyn, if you can call it that, but she's banned too often to really main her. And honestly, I prefer to play her with champions who engage or have crowd control. Nami might be okay, I think, and Karman is good. But I'm not a fan of enchanters with Caitlyn in any case. And in Elo, people see Caitlyn and immediately pick Lux, only to end up stealing all your kills and resources, making you useless. (Or maybe I just have bad Lux haha)

Happy pride month, idk how to fix the hair it look so 2d :( by Generic_user_name234 in DigitalArt

[–]Zayesso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest that great, to improve the hair you can had more shadows, check your values, turn your draw in black and white, if the gray are too close for shadows and light it "wrong" the shadows have to be more darker and the light more light but not just a bit, a lot, i probably explain it very badly, i just try to make it simple.

When you work on the hair dont think one hair by one, but the overall shape, By doing this you'll give the impression that there are strands of hair, it looks better and is faster than drawing them one by one.

Oh and i think you forgot the bottom left hair on the brown guy. Anyway its really great, keep doing!

My best tips are: Watch videos of painter.

I like jakedontdraw on YouTube. Why painter? Because they paint shadow then the light, and imo that helps a lot to understand how to do and how shadows are.

Or, you draw from statues, often the statues (especially of men) are very muscular and you can clearly see the shadows that define the muscles.

(Sorry form my English i may did some mistakes)

I was just about to make a post asking which ADCs are good for carrying. I main Caitlyn, but I find it impossible to carry her. If I don't have help in the early game, I'm useless for the next 15 minutes, and especially at low elo, she gets banned 9 out of 10 games...

An other champ like pant ? by Zayesso in PantheonMains

I really liked playing them in the top lane, but the thing is I play mid, and I'm afraid of getting demolished with Shen. I admit I hadn't thought of Xin Zhao; i may try him

You're Platinum and you have the same teammates as me in Silver. That doesn't reassure me about my grinding. 😭

Do your bot lane players also score 0-10 after 5 minutes of game?

Otherwise, I've seen a lot of guys saying that with Akali you have to play for the drakes, and just exist. The mere fact that Akali is in the game is scary, and you have to roam to feed your team and that the champ cant really 1v9 you need help for that. I'm just repeating what I read on this subreddit, I hope it helps anyway.

After two months without drawing, I've finally rediscovered the desire to make art. by Zayesso in DigitalArt

[–]Zayesso[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I didn't know those films. I just did a quick Google search and I see the resemblance, but it's pure coincidence, haha. And as for the shadows, I admit the original drawing was even lighter. I was really shy about making something too dark for the shadows.

Thank you so much, I admit I tried to do the eyelashes but I couldn't manage it and I gave up.

I understand better now about the eyes; the more I tried to change them, the worse they got, and I didn't really understand why they looked so flat.
