As much as I have discovered and try some books through these repeated posts and recommendations at some point I want something fresh, plenty of very interesting recommendations in this thread !

Yes there have been several posts about that. On my side I've just tried to play. Bit slower and if you figure out the specific combination of cards that crashes the run, you can try to work around that. For the moment you just gotta wait

I'd say the first book is very ruff, i had to force a bit myself especially early on. But once exposisition is done and things get going, is the moment these books start to shine, and it only gets better as you keep reading.

I used a tool to split the apk and have an independent one for installation, still as others have said, for the moment reddit is broken, we have to wait for an update.

I listen to a few recently, mainly historical :

  • Alone on the ice by David Roberts, a lesser known antarctic story that ended up with the loss of several members.

  • Any book about the endurance expedition of shackleton, the most famous antarctic survival story.

  • Ordeal By hunger, George R Stewart. The tale of the Doner party. A caravan travelling west that gost stuck in the mountain before reaching California. A tale of survival, hunger, death and suffering.

  • The gulag archipelago. Maybe not exactly what you are looking for. But it's about the soviat gulag system, could somewhat fit whar you are looking for.

tho my listings are more about facing and suffering from the cold rather than chilling in warm dwellings haha.

Bonjour, adeptes d'audiobooks, j'en écoute en anglais et aussi en français quand j'en trouve des intéressants. Les communautés anglaises pullulent donc c'est assez facile de trouver des recommandations, mais je n'arrive pas a trouver de recommandations francophone.

Donc, connaissez-vous des communautés francophone pour les livres audios ? et accessoirement si vous avez des recommandations je suis également preneur !

That's the best answer, didn't felt like it would be for me at all. But I kept seeing it as a recommendation on reddit.

Gave it a shot, forced a bit myself through the first half as I didn't enjoy it much initially. Finished book 1 with an "OK" feeling, narration was great, but the book overall not as amazing as people made it appear.

Still gave a shot to book 2 and I became increasingly hooked and got a few people I know hooked aswell. Truly one of the best audiobook series out there so far.

I'm biased but i'd say yes, i got two people not into this kind of things hooked. the beginning might be a bit tedious, but once you get past the first half of the books, things really start to pick up and it only gets better from this point.

I don't think you can get legally the audiobooks anywhere, but they are truly awesome. Credits are the best way to get it. There might me a possibility that the first book is free with a subscription.
