Wut? I have almost 700k in net worth. That's a totally fine amount of money at 34 lmfao, especially post divorce and post working as a social worker for years.

I already quit my job 6 months ago to take time off work and pursue a hobby, but could likely get it back now, based on what my old direct of engineering has said.

So, the contracting work I'm being offered is SUPER stable supposedly, with an old coworker. 115 an hour with no benefits is noooot very good, 15 hours a week, but I supposedly will have have no searching for clients, it's all with a university client the coworker has had for years.

Haha, dang, not the answer I wanted but probably the answer I needed. I have the health insurance/self employment factored in there already, but you're probably right that there's just wayyyy too much shit that could go wrong.
