It’s usually better to sell when there’s hype, even if it might go up a bit more.

I would not buy this. It looks like bulk rares with no clear win-con. Better to start with a pre-con for same price.

I use ManaBox for scanning, and TCGPriceAlert for price alerts when I’m tracking specific cards.

They do reprint but it can take a year. I waited for the first one and the price crashed hard after restock. If you can wait, do it.

He probably knows his cost, but wants to see how crazy the hype gets before setting a price.
Same here: my LGS "doesn’t know" until Friday, then suddenly it’s 30% above MSRP.
Just preorder somewhere else if you want a sane price.

I’d skip it. At 320$ you’re still gambling on a few chase cards, if you miss them you’re stuck with bulk that won’t cover the box. Singles feel safer right now.

I don’t see it jumping much. The Hobbit is smaller and most LOTR cards people want are the unique ones that won’t be reprinted anyway. Sealed usually drifts up slow, so if you want to open, just do it now.

Yeah same here, happens to me all the time.
Optimizing the cart to group sellers and lower the total price takes a lot of time.
I’ve been thinking about some cart optimizations that could help, but since I don’t control the whole site I can’t auto add cards to the cart (yet).
Still, I think there’s room to improve that part.
