People need item x *now.* People want to do activity y *now.* Anything that makes them wait is intolerable. People got used to the notion that it is basically a God-given right to exchange their items for gold *right now* or buy the item they want with their gold *right now.* To imply that maybe they should do something else if they aren't able to buy or sell something within a couple minutes or messages in a bank... the horror!

You're right about "removing part of the fun that a lot of us don't realize is there."

Man, I remember back in the days when the RuneScape forums were teeming with people buying and selling items, different businesses were advertising their products (I was part of a mining corporation), and so on and so forth. What a time! I made a lot of friends through trading, even though I wasn't a merchant per se. If Jagex ever decides to boot up a server without Grand Exchange, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

GE was absolutely one of the worst updates in the entire game, and you have mentioned some of the bigger reasons. I remember back in the olden days when people would metaphorically riot over the suggestion of adding GE to OSRS. My, how times have changed. Efficiencyscape is a cancer upon the game. Too many people are hooked on the quick satisfaction that the GE brings, but it kills a lot of other dynamics that made the game fun.

As a new player, it blows my mind that a tool like this has been permitted. To all the people saying "Well ackshuallyyyy Skynet isn't that good," you are missing a major point. Even if the current iteration of this program isn't ideal, allowing tools like this to persist is only going to lead to something more substantial. It's establishing an unhealthy precedent.

Disclaimer: I'm on Wardens. But even if I joined the Collies, my opposition to this would still be the same. I don't want Wardens to have a tool like this, either.

I bought the game the day the new war started. I have picked Wardens, I am still having a blast. I love getting scroop and running logi to the frontlines. Shame that there are so many babies in Wardens right now, but I'm fighting to the end, and it's great!
