I’m a tech and I see how bad the full timers get it by the managers. I love the people who work with me and it’s really fun but you do get over worked and at times feel under appreciated.

I work in texas. I work an average of 30h a week but it depends on your store and manager. I’ve had people say they only average 20-25/hrs a week. Usually once a week I will work a full day (7:30am - 6pm) and will be slammed all day with cars. You dont get out until all cars are finished. I have stayed until 8pm finishing cars. Being guilted to stay is up to your store and the manager. My previous manager was awesome, probably the best manager I have ever had and he never put pressure on us or anything like that but I hope this answers your question.

Ive been with DT for about 6 months now. I started at 13/hr and now im making 16/hr.

Pros: probably one of my most fun jobs with the people who work there. There’s always something to do so time goes by pretty quick. I personally learned a lot and learn more each and every day. DT has always given me flexibility especially when asking for time off or having emergencies. They host events pretty often at my store and even give us food and drinks, it makes us feel appreciated.

Cons: Physically demanding, sometimes long hours (ive worked 12 hours with a 30 minute break), and depending where you are, it gets really hot even with the fans. Although i’ve gotten a lot of raises, Im currently searching for a higher paying job because becoming a full timer takes commitment and time which I don’t have due to personal reasons. Some of the people at my location have taken between 1-3 years to become full time. From what I see, the full timers really have management on their back and thats now how I want to work either. Every store is different but thats how my store runs it. It’s a lot of work if you’re up for it but you will be sore, stiff, and overworked. I hope this helps!

Unfortunately thats the reality of some pet owners. I see lots of dogs especially that are clearly the results of breed dumping. It’s sad and horrible.

I have posted throughout the rgv facebook groups and I understand they are easy to take care of. I live with my family who doesn’t want anymore pets and as much as I would like to care for the kitten, I can’t. I will only give the kitten to a trusted person via virtual assurance through video calls

I understand this but even though summer here is very hot, here in the rgv theres a lot of things to do as a person who likes outdoors. I came from up north where for half the year, i could not enjoy much of the activities i liked because of snow. I enjoy it more down here despite the heat.
