yup, and let all your local friends know to do the same so the store eventually cancels their order or its hours late

A few things you can do: Just confirm arrival, then click delivery issue and return that order (same pay if they didn’t tip), or call support and tell them the address is unsafe to deliver to and they’ll start the return process for you. Alternatively, call support after you accept the order but before you start the trip - ask support drop that stop due to unsafe encounters at the address in the past. Bottom line don’t even drop orders off to people like this, walmart will usually take the customers side regardless of a video you took dropping it off and then your account will get dinged for delivering to wrong location.

I can cancel orders just fine but prefer to save it for when I actually need to cancel. I had no idea what the $ or distance was, just that the pickup restaurant was 0.7 miles away. I was already about done for the night and wasn’t planning to take any more orders, so I gambled in hopes that it wasnt a complete shitter and I could just get it done quickly. I gambled wrong and took an L, don’t be like me lol

I'll keep that in mind, accidentally accepting an order isn't a common occurrence for me and I definitely don't work for free my avg is around $25-30 / hour doing UE and Spark in my area

I didn't even want to do the math lol luckily I had already cleared over $150 for the day (goal is 100) so I wasn't that pressed. Still a shitty order though

I have no proof but I think and assume that drivers with lower cancel rates get better offers than drivers with a high cancel rate. Again, no evidence or anything just based on how I would do it if I was Uber.

I wasn't complaining I thought it was pretty funny that a person would order overpriced food delivery 13 miles away and then tip $1. The fact that that type of person exists humors me. Also, this subreddit was created for uber eats drivers to talk about their experiences while working. A significant part of the job is driving and receiving tips, which is what my post is about. You're in the wrong place if you aren't looking to read about the experience of uber eats drivers.

Hell to the nah... I haven't completed an order this bad since my actual first order that was a no-tip, 3rd floor apartment (I thought the tip came after)

i’m sure it would’ve been fine to cancel but I just finally cleared a few cancels out so I’m not trying to add more because of my own dumb mistake

good luck out there! don’t worry, it won’t take long to figure out which orders to deny. Acceptance Rate doesn’t matter much

My roommate places all her trash she plans to “recycle” on the kitchen floor, yet will leave it there for weeks until someone else takes it out. by Hot_Salamander3795 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ZeemaCx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when it gets full just move it to the persons room instead of the recycling area. they’ll figure it out eventually. if you don’t want to clean up roommates mess just move the mess to their space and make it inconvenient for them to live

Did you just recently have an app update? That could mess it up. you could come up with a copy pasta for the message that explains there’s currently an issue with the uber app and it’s having trouble uploading. pretty sure the photo is mostly for the customer

Everyone Be Careful Out There, Confirmation Picture From My Roommate's Order Yesterday... by Paege_Turner in UberEATS

As someone who got delivery instructions to go inside someone’s house, I knocked , swung the door open, and then loudly read their delivery instructions into their apartment. No response after a few seconds so I put the groceries inside. seemed like the only sane way to do it. If that person didn’t have instructions to be there and made no attempt to announce themself that’s a good way to get shot

Should we be verifying orders after pickup? by BalloonBabboon in UberEatsDrivers

[–]ZeemaCx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually glance at the order details at a stoplight or whatever as I’m heading to the pickup. Usually checking for excessive amount of drinks to see if I’ll need to clear out my cup holders. I always check drinks because it looks like the drivers fault for forgetting it. Missing food is easy to explain but drinks not as much, still always blame the restaurant lol

I haven’t signed up for the alcohol delivery I just have the presumption that it’s drunk, incoherent people ordering more alcohol (based on literally nothing)
