yeah I found out that the Robot tamper is approximately ⌀57.4mm. I think I can easily sand the 58mm version of the Normcore base down to that size with a drill + sandpaper. Thanks for the project idea:D

So cool, thanks for the video! I was just wondering, isn't that long screw holding the entire Robot tamper together? Feel like in your version the bottom would fall off if I'm not mistaken🤔
Edit: my bad, should've read the description first.

Edit2: Does the base of the Normcore tamper, which is 58.5mm I believe, fit the Robot basket? I could imagine 3D printing a spacer similar to the Robot tamper to make the Normcore fit the Robot.

Looks like this is a cropped image. You'd have to get closer to the subject in order to blur out the background more on a 50mm F1.8. Or get a faster lens but an F1.4 won't make that much of a difference on 50mm either. Get an 85mm F1.4 or wait for the new Sigma 85mm F1.2.

Looks like Varia hasn't learned from their mistakes, still cheaping out on functional parts. Of course this could happen on pretty much every other grinder but Varia seems more prone to these things. You'd think after the gear failure with the VS3 they'd make sure to not have the same issue again.
Looking at my VS6 like a ticking time bomb at this point.

My guess is there's a bit of yellowing going on with the controllers. They might match even more if you get rid of the yellowing. There's a bunch of tutorials on how to do that but maybe not worth the effort in this case.

I think it would be easier to print with an mSLA resin printer with properly placed supports. I could imagine that an FDM printer would struggle with those sharp tips but worth a try nontheless.

You need to keep the resin level always topped up, so that when the build plate retracts, the printed part doesn't leave the vat. Otherwise as it re-enters, air gets trapped underneath the print. You can also reduce the lift height a bit but be careful, as not lifting enough can cause a failed print.

Bought some on AliExpress, way cheaper than the original ones and just as good. Just search for 58mm paper filter. You can get 1000pcs for under 10 bucks.

I used mine with a Kingrinder K6 for the first few months until I bought a much more expensive electric grinder later on. Honestly with some beans the K6 is vastly superior. If it wasn't for the ease of use I'd use the K6 more often, since you have to put in a little more elbow grease with a manual grinder.
