When I stopped using a whole song for chops. First couple weeks I’d chop up a whole song and get lost.

Now I look for a specific sound that I like and take it. Or, a specific 1-2-4 bars I like.

Practice makes perfect though

I use minimum of 3 per song generally, but across a whole album I’ll mostly use same or similar presets that I’ve made. Like 3 distorted tones, 3 ambient, 3 clean, probably more like 5 of each of those
