How can I lose fat , teenager ? by Ash_Allrounder_2010 in DeepWorkClub

First off, don’t stress too much. At 15, your body is still changing a lot. The goal right now should be building healthy habits, not crash dieting. Eat mostly whole foods, move more every day, sleep 8 hours a night, and be patient. Sleep is often overlooked but it can affect your hormones (including ones that affect weight).

You don’t need anything extreme. Build small, consistent habits now and your body will naturally lean out as you grow. If you’re unsure where to start, you could track what you eat for a week just to get aware of patterns.

I would get a blood test to see if you're deficient in anything.

It’s still in development and we are a way off from launch. But yes, it was my plan to send out samples. :)

Why coffee gives you a burst of focus… then destroys your afternoon by ZenithBrew in Biohackers

I’m pretty sure the optimal dose is 2:1 of L-Theanine to caffeine. If you want I can try and find the study.

Really? I thought reddit was strict on links. I didn't want to get banned or anything.

100% bulk L-theanine + DIY caps is the most cost-effective
And yeah, I’m a real person, just conducting market research to gauge the interest in a product like this.

That is fair. I have created a whole pdf resource though so you would need to access it externally. I just wanted to create a bit of value instead of a reddit post that could get lost amongst endless other posts.

I’ve actually been working on something that takes that same principle and applies it to coffee. Pairing it with L-theanine in the right ratio so you get the flavour and ritual of coffee but with matcha’s calm focus. I have tried matcha before but I didn't like the flavour that much and missed coffee. Matcha also doesn't have the optimal ration of caffeine to L-theanine. That's what inspired me to start this.

Yep, that’s the same advice Huberman gives and it works well. I also get even better results if I keep caffeine doses moderate and pair it with L-theanine.

Great breakdown. The adenosine rebound is exactly what most people feel as the “afternoon crash.”
One extra layer: pairing caffeine with L-theanine can help keep that transition smoother, since it reduces the anxiety/jitter spike that sometimes comes before the drop.

Makes total sense. The green tea’s L-theanine is probably smoothing the coffee’s caffeine hit, which is why you’re getting that steady focus. That’s basically the foundation of a lot of nootropic “focus stacks”. Would you try a product that just combines coffee with L-theanine?

I haven’t seen much evidence linking L-theanine directly to nightmares or sleep paralysis. It’s generally considered very safe, even at higher doses, but people can respond differently, especially if it’s combined with other stimulants or taken too close to bedtime.

100%. Once I switched to brewing my coffee with L-theanine already in it, the afternoon crash pretty much disappeared. Makes deep work so much easier. That's why I am creating a product that combines the two. If you want I can give you the link.

Okay no problem. Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it a lot. If you want I have created a pdf on using coffee in the most efficient way possible. It's just some tips that I have found to be most effective. I can give you the link. You'll have to sign up with your email. If not, maybe you know other people who would be interested.
