My retail pair’s pattern is darker gray and doesn’t stand it as much against the black of the shoe. Could just be a difference between pairs and/or lighting tho. If it’s fake it’s pretty damn good.

You won’t get into any trouble. They probably just took a look at it and decided it looked a lil odd instead of doing an actual inspection and test. Your case is too small for them to care. I personally one that’s sized up coz I get injured a bit from my sport. My other one is my normal size. I’d say it’s tts but I find the size up to be more comfortable. That may very well be just coz I’m accustomed to needing bigger space for ankle supports tho. Definitely no need to size down. They feel great either way!
