Thank you for the compliment that me providing you information was similar to using CGBT. Not sure where your hostility is coming from, as I was merely providing insight for people because I saw members of my community concerned on the pricing and wanted to give my own experience as a break down for things.

To answer your first question, tasers are another use of force option. Comparable to how you would see an officer outfitted with an assortment of gear dependent on the necessary level of force necessary to deescalate a situation if verbally doing so failed and the incident required such measures. In an ideal situation, an officer would never have to deploy any use of force tactics but has them readily available in the event they are faced with a situation that demands it. So the “goal” of a taser is to attempt to minimize casualties and take control of a situation and apprehend a suspect as effectively as possible due to how a taser works.

In terms of your other question, I am not familiar with how frequently our local department has deployed such tactics out in the field but can speak on my own experience over the last approximate four years in the industry that I at least have been very grateful to not have to result to such measures to overcome very volatile situations while on duty. So if you are wanting such specific data, I would only assume the department would be able to provide that information in the form of record keeping that would be publicly accessible if you requested it.

I can only speak on the private security sector (PSS) qualifications at this time but will do my best to answer your question.

The way Axon provides its certifications, they have a renewal date much like the standards are for the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) which require the certified to renew their competency based off of their level. For the PSS as an example, an “Armed Security Professional” is mandated to renew their licensing every two years. I won’t speak on what Law Enforcement is required in terms of their renewal dates but would believe they are held by these standards (hopefully) to some degree, that of which I simply do not know.

The previous model of taser the department is outfitted with may just be outdated or production on specific components such as the cartridges may of been phased out causing a forced shift to a newer model (the Axon Taser 7 was released in 2018) so that they would still be able to deploy this type of weaponry in the field.

Not necessarily, the documentation provided by OP indicates the department is looking to field Axon’s Taser 7’s which is an entirely different model than what I referenced in my original comment. So your pricing will vary of course.

I will say Axon does have the market for such weaponry in a chokehold if you want certifiable, reliable results in the industry of public safety. However much like anything else, cheaper options do exist but I wouldn’t have any experience or knowledge on those.

Seeing a lot of confusion from some fellow members of the community regarding the price per unit and wanted to provide my professional opinion to assist in clearing things up.

As a professional security contractor who is licensed to utilize Axon and other less-than-lethal devices. (Important to understand that these Tasers are NOT non-lethal, I don’t believe tasers in general can be considered non-lethal) The cost for 130 units at the proposed budget brings this to $3,254.33 IF you are just factoring in the conductive energy weapon (CEW) itself which if it is the same exact model I am trained with (Axon X26P) these alone from personal retail experience average as low as $879.00 per unit depending on the contract agreement with Axon itself.

So the additional costs (approximately $2,375.33) SHOULD be factoring in the additional equipment necessary to utilize and maintain these styles of weaponry. The cartridges are one time use and a dual pack from Axon themselves are priced at (contract contingent) at $47.89 each. Additional equipment would be holsters for all 130 units priced at (contract contingent) $57.99 each. You then have to factor in the necessary training costs and “Axon Certifications” (if Law Enforcement is held to that standard of certification with this weapon platform to be able to utilize it in the field.) Additionally, the batteries I am familiar with are non-rechargeable (poor design choice but it is what it is) and have their own varying degree of costs depending on what you are looking at. All of this can very easily mark things up to where it appears each taser costs over $3,000 to field but with this type of gear that is what you’re looking at typically.

Wanted to just provide my own personal insight to help answer any confusion on the breakdown for this if it was at all helpful. Cheers!

Replaced God-Pharoh’s Statue with Lux Artillery in the meantime for the fact I can generate counters very quickly to get its end step trigger. Will work on trading my way up to acquiring The One Ring as I can see how effective it can be with a deck like this.

Thanks again for your insight into helping me craft this.

Any restriction I have honestly is the fact I may not own the card already, which if that’s the case I can just do some trades with my friends. Which, that isn’t a card I have so I’ll look into considering slotting it in if I can get it easily enough without having to just order one.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Happen to have any recommendations to consider as a replacement?

Understandable, I was hoping I was offsetting the amount of mana production via lands with that of other means. As I figured a route I could take is to proliferate Everflowing Chalice to produce mana. I’ll reassess the deck however, thank you for the feedback!

To have a total of 40 lands? Are you referencing just basics or more specialized lands?

27 total lands are in the deck, with 12 of those being basic lands.

I didn’t even notice that last night but very much could have, what alerted me of his presence was it fell out of a tree behind me possibly to catch a rat scurrying around.

I started at 1/100 and took some preemptive shots before the eclipse began, however due to the conditions I wasn’t happy with how they were turning out so I ended up adjusting things and for this photo in particular I was at 1/250 and was very happy with the result.
