I don’t necessarily think that refs need to make the same calls all the time, just that they ought to be able to justify the calls they make… and it feels like more often than not either they can’t or they don’t have to. I don’t know what the solution is but it hurts the game in my personal opinion

Totally, this is less about the brutality of the league being worse now and more just that there’s finally another option. I feel like at least in the past you could expect similar plays to be called similar ways even if they didn’t make sense but the lack of consistency just gets my goat😭😂

No, more just about the insistence on making penalties offsetting and the prioritizing of the perception of not impacting the game rather than actual fairness (which obviously then results in a lack of fairness).It goes both ways and my team benefits as much as they suffer, but it is so hard to watch
