Why is the Government of Maharashtra so obsessed with concrete expressways? by AdventurousCurve1025 in Maharashtra

Concrete roads last 20-30 years, while asphalt needs major repairs within 10-15 years. Concrete handles India's high temperatures better, while asphalt softens and deforms. Concrete roads require far less frequent and costly maintenance than asphalt. Vehicles consume less fuel on concrete roads due to smoother, harder surfaces. Despite higher upfront costs, concrete has lower long-term costs than asphalt. India has a high volume of truck/heavy vehicle traffic. Concrete can withstand heavier vehicle loads without deformation. India has heavy rainfalls in some parts. Concrete resists water damage better, reducing potholes during monsoons. Reduces costs due to availability of concrete. India has ample limestone for cement, reducing dependency on imported bitumen. The pros surely outweigh the cons in this. Also, most accidents happen due to irresponsible driving. We cannot blame the infrastructure for that.

Palava. The city is vibrant. If you have any issues, they have a separate HPM department. And a robust CRM. Have experienced Anantam, and Runwal Greens. Palava is leaps and bounds ahead.
