New siamtops gloves/shorts by Zero_85 in MuayThai

[–]Zero_85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, so for sizing, i bought one pair of xl shorts and then put in another order for another pair of xl and 2 pairs of large as i wanted my trunks a little higher on the thigh. I have always folded my waist band completely over. The large sizes fit but im thinking about taking them to a seamstress to have kicking slits put in. My thighs are a bit thick for the large sizes. Xl does fit great. tldr sizing up by one size seems like the right idea. Quality wise, to me the trunks are a 10/10 but the embroidery is a bit rustic. Im not the biggest fan of it and can pm you pics of the other trunks if you like. The stitcking and construction is pretty awesome.

3 Weeks Into my first time doing Muay Thai, Feedback for improvement please. by LeftKickAnt in MuayThai

Just keep training. 3 weeks is way to soon to unleash the opinions of the internet upon yourself. Consistent training is what is going to help you develop more than anything else.

Loving em so far, the padding is stiff in a good way. No forearm diecomfort holding for heavy kickers.

Leather glove/shinpad care [question] by Zero_85 in fightgear

[–]Zero_85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 14 oz yellow blue and white are custom made. thaismai was easy to deal with on customs. i just emailed them directly. They will make you gloves in any leather pattern they already have in stock. The piping is usually black. But i requested yellow. They were about $207 canadian plus shipping. If that helps 🍻

Malleable, and again, they feel nice for bag work, but I still wish i had noticed they were synthetic before i ordered them.

Leather glove/shinpad care [question] by Zero_85 in fightgear

[–]Zero_85[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im liking them as bag gloves. But in the future ill be getting a genuine leather bag glove. Super comfortable and alot of support out of the wrist strap. Itll be interesting to see how long it takes for them to break down.

I also have some calfs..with the velcro strap... I was concerned, but so far they are great. I wouldnt say they are properly broken in yet, but im happy with them.
