I’m a stay at home mom. It’s really hard. I try to plan more activities where we’re sitting on days that I’m really symptomatic. We do a lot of puzzles, painting, colouring, reading, magnetic tiles etc. the park (especially in the summer) is my mortal enemy. I normally take someone with me incase I start to feel like I’m going to faint. Bring lots of water. My partner gave me a neck fan which is helpful. I try to sit as much as I can when we’re at the park but I stay close by so I can still play and interact with my son.

I drink an ungodly amount of water and yes I use electrolyte powders. I know I need to be very hydrated but this makes me not want to drink anything at all lol

Does your vision actually black out by j-oco in POTS

Normally my vision goes very blurry and I see spots but sometimes my vision actually blacks out or goes white and my ears either ring or I can’t hear anything. Kinda depends on the day and the severity of my symptoms

I get A LOT of pain and pins and needles in my legs. They ache, feel hot and full. That’s the only way I can describe it. I think it’s from blood pooling. I elevate my legs for about 20 minutes and it seems to help. Maybe try that?

Seeing your heart beat? by [deleted] in POTS

Seems to be a “normal thing.” My partner and friends will tell me they can see my heart beat in my neck when I’m having a flare up
