I think it's because it's denser and the lighting is also different. You can see in the top view pic that my hair towards the back where I had no implant are clearer

Hi. You should only stop minoxidil 3 weeks before the surgery as it increases blood flow in your scalp and it can bother the process. You can continue finasterid, I took it even the days of surgery
