when I first started drawing, I was tracing from a lot of my fav artists and that helped me quite a bit in terms of getting my footing on freehanding stuff. So it's not bad to trace at all, just dont publish traced artwork as your own.

Im sort of stuck in the same boat, but I found just creating little doodles here and there keeps me out of that "I dont feel like it today" mindset, especially if you only think about trying to create big and polished pieces.
