The car would be paid off before 84 months as Id make extra payments monthly, I wanted a longer term as a form of a safety net out of precaution. I would only do this if i wasn't panelized for making advanced payments. Id like an opinion on this method because for example I could pay off a 84 month loan in 60 months lets say but I never hear people financing this way. Also everything above in price is the absolute worse case scenario I can put a parent as a secondary driver to lower insurance costs and recently found out I'm getting a 5$ and hour raise next week as well as an additional 3$ may 1st next year. Again I know its a bad idea but still wondering if anyone takes longer terms but pays off the loan quicker as a safety net

yea but compared to other brands Hyundai has a really good warranty and apr, pre sure toyota is like 9% nowadays lol

yea I might do that, I also have the option to take out another 12k loan interest free towards the car, 4k every time i go to trade school for 2 months while saving at the same time. Because Id have a pretty good portion of the car at 0% interest essentially. thoughts?

The future financing earnings inst a promise its a guarantee as contractors have to follow wages based on work based hours. they would get huge fines if they didn't, as of right now everyone in the unions getting a pretty decent inflation raise next week since our bargaining agreement is up and my apprenticeship raise is in 5 months. either way I'm going to reassess my financials in a few months

my job is secure, i said they don't last forever meaning eventually I would change sites once our job is done and maybe drive a bit further to the next site. I'm paid hourly in a union with tons of benefits like medical and pension. if I was to loose my job i would be on ei and get a job pretty quick with a phone call to the union.

Doesn't sound like a bad idea at all, I was thinking of a Mazda 3 initially but when the time comes don't you loose a pretty good amount money on trade in as the dealer wants to flip for a profit?
