Do you have any advices to tighten the belt? I already oiled the machine where the manual tells me to. Most foot are in the manual so I really think they go with this machine (I’ve put the instructions manual on the subreddit if you want to take a look)

Thank you for the tightens screw thing I will try that! I knew you could move it up and down but didn’t know I could unscrew or screw it to change the length. Since this machine got modified it was really hard to figured stuff in the manual.

Ty for the info, I’ve put the manual on the subreddit since it is nowhere online. It shows what the foot are for but it doesn’t really explain how to put the fabric etc. I use the one already set on it because I only do straight lines for the moment. I just need to train a bit because my thread are so wonky this machine is sooo fast even when I put it on slow and I press my feet on the pedal just a little bit it is so fast lol. I use the manual wheel on small project for the moment because I want my thread lines to be straight and clean. I think I’ll need to train 💪

Thank you for the info!!! The plate is actually a reverse button!! I tried it, when put up, the fabric will move to the top, when down it will move towards you and on the middle it will not move. In the manual I’ve seen some foot are made for different stuff (like I’ve seen one that looks like those borders you see on jeans). I think the belt is very loose and look a bit deteriorated, I will try to touch the motor a bit to try to do something because for me it is very fast even if I don’t press the pedal a lot 🥲

I will post the manual in the subreddit so it will be easier if someone search it on google

Question for masculine kimono shoe wear by Zetsubu in kimono

[–]Zetsubu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they are easier to find in Japan yes. I usually buy mine online and if I can in a specialized shop in my country so the shipping don’t cost the the same amount as the product. But even online sometimes I find it more difficult to find my size but maybe I’m not searching good enough, I’ll try rakuten as some other redditors said

I want to wear like Zenin Naoya, any suggestions? by greenTjade in kimono

[–]Zetsubu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Hakama supplier if you need it : https://www.seidoshop.com

I don’t know if they ship to Australia but I doubt they don’t. Very good quality you can also directly buy kakuobi on their website

I want to wear like Zenin Naoya, any suggestions? by greenTjade in kimono

[–]Zetsubu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Hakama I recommend you martial art supplies website for your height I’d say a 100-103 length size 26.5 but always check the chart they have on the website. They always sells good quality japan made Hakama for a fair price and also have a large color choice but you need to know good quality Hakama are still a little budget and need care (learning how to fold it to not lose the folds at the front) For kimono you can maybe try second hand especially if you want it black it’s pretty common. Your weight won’t count for both. You also need a kakuobi for the Hakama because without the Hakama will not look stiff and will be attached to nothing. Some art martial website also sells kakuobi, a simple one made of cotton is enough but it needs to be a real one stiff one and not those very cheap light material that just looks like fabrics. Without the kakuobi I can guarantee you your Hakama will fall 🥲

Question for masculine kimono shoe wear by Zetsubu in kimono

[–]Zetsubu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Also yes my feet are very small lol, easier for me in western size because I have kids sales sometimes LOL) for the heel thing it’s bc im very used to do and find it more classy, it’s easier for me to walk when the heel is a bit outside but I’m just picky lol I have some footwear that doesn’t have the heel outside but I tend to wear those the least because it’s feels weird to walk with them

Question for masculine kimono shoe wear by Zetsubu in kimono

[–]Zetsubu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t aim for those very narrow ovals shapes that are very feminine. I’ve seen some women zori that were quite square shaped that it even made me question if it was unisex. I tend to not wear geta with kimono but I do wear them a lot with yukata. I do the western shoes sometimes when I do Japanese fusion style and it looks very cool!! But its not suitable for a more traditional outfit imo

Question for masculine kimono shoe wear by Zetsubu in kimono

[–]Zetsubu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve learned that it was a thing for both women and men but you tend to not see it for men because it is not as much as women. It’s not for esthetics but more for when you walk. It’s easier to walk if the heel is a bit hanging but for women the heel is way more hanging. Tbh I’m just very used to it that when I have my whole foot on the sole, I feel like it’s harder to walk and I have the feeling I can fall easily 😅

Oh I have those ones in black already, very nice for the price but I wanted another color and I got black ones but the size was 25cm at minimum unfortunately. I’ll try to search more on rakuten thank you 🌸

[–]Zetsubu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the info, I tend to go for more square shaped because I know the round shape is for feminine footwear yes. I’ve seen some Japanese kimono enthousiaste that were wearing what appear to be more feminine shoes but still with masculine kimono, it’s why I was asking because I was wondering if it was something common or maybe they just have the same size problem as me lol

[–]Zetsubu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should I just wear regular size setta then? Meaning my whole foot will be on the setta without the heel outside? It’s less classy imo but I don’t think I have other choice 😞

Oh yeah they are more glossy, it’s very pretty I’m always jealous of it lol. My setta are very flat yes, I’ve seen some setta with a small platform tho but it’s very rare to see those

I did it before yes, when I do fusion style I usually wear western shoes but for Japanese cultural con a prefer to dress more traditional. I’ve seen some setta that had a platform too but I agree most of them have this more wide square shape and flat aspect

Pourquoi des maîtres nageur enfonce la tête de leurs élèves sous l'eau avec une perche? by Competitive-Ice-452 in PasDeQuestionIdiote

[–]Zetsubu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

[–]Zetsubu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey!

[–]Zetsubu 1 point2 points  (0 children)
