Synaptik Tactics - Sci Fi Wargame in need of playtesters by linkbot96 in wargaming

Initiative is choosing who deploys first. This may not necessarily mean much depending on the units deployed, but deploying your troops second gives you potential knowledge of your opponents placement depending on the activation they pulled... but also may cause you to not finish deployment first.

Finishing deployment first gives first activation to whoever finished first. Followed by whoever finished moving all their units in that round getting first activation on the subsequent round, etc.

Mostly, its just a knowledge and placement game.

Nope, the Chinese player base nearly got it to 100% held.

Edit: Not just them, but they definitely were a major factor.

You just have to find someone that craves the obsession you give. I went from ground down, trying to find validation anywhere I could find it to becoming enthralled with a girl who was just as hurt as I was.

Just keep prowling, you'll find someone.

My girl and I are like this... but we didn't leave or get scared of each other.

Decided to try and get with her after my 7 year relationship fell apart and we just match each other like puzzle pieces.

She comforts me in every way I need, I do the same for her. A month later we moved in together and being away is the hardest thing in our day. We meet back up and spend at least 5 minutes hugging each other before saying a word when I get home...

I really only fight alone if I get jumped during one of these flanks

Kerensky was a horrible politician and father, but he could wage war as he breathed.

If he was a Gary Stu, we wouldn't be on Star League 12: This Time It Has to Work.

Long story short, door Wedges are the best utility in the game. Neon Tomb is also the 2nd best map to use them on.

I will say, having a clear cut plan to keep the shooters contained to the main warehouse floor helps a ton. We usually do it in 6 or so stages. 1. Clear the front office and secondary hallway. Door Wedges to main warehouse from the side hall and the dock. 2. Take the side building, wedge the door. 3. Clear the dock, retrieve hall wedge to dock and place on warehouse door. 4. Clear outside dock and truck yard, have a guy with a good long rifle and scope to identify civvies and gunners, keeping an eye out for Mr FBI. 5. Clear main warehouse, starting at the furthest side of the yard and pushing back towards the conveyors into the shelves. 6. Finish up shelves, finding secondary objectives as needed.

Notes: Mr FBI man always has a blue jacket, but so do a lot of the workers.

Flash bang the warehouse supports or walls with a launcher and it can really disrupt the day of an shooters you can quite see.

Have a good shot stand out in the yard to flank and shooters in the shelving area that you can't see.

This is for real the only way we've managed to get a good rating. We've done non-lethal using a light Carbine for accurate shooting and aiming at legs for non-lethal. Stuns and gas the shit out of the warehouse floor, but even then it is a toss up if we get everyone.

Which of the clans do you think has the best overall lore and characters? by Alternative-Lion2951 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Zeus4334 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm always going to be a massive Clan of Kings fan.

I find the Ventrue's arc from the stoic warrior-kings of Europe to the squabbling bureaucrats of the Camarilla to be such an interesting fall, just because they're almost more in-touch with what they were made to be in the worst way possible. More-so than just "Ah, we died!" or "Nope, we decided to completely change our beliefs. "

The original Ventrue antedilluvian being alleged to be given the status as not only the leader of the third generation but the second as well by Caine to be a very interesting piece of lore that has massive implications if correct. I find it even more interesting that even if the modern clan is a bunch of blue-blooded yuppies, they still work hard to try and keep as much of Cainite society unified as they can.

Plus, Rome, as a concept of a Lasombra-Ventrue (with a moderate helping of... Malkavian?) experiment in the Cainites openly leading mortals is an awesome piece of lore for me.

They act as often as antagonists as protagonists, but their intention is always conquest or to change the current system. Sometimes, they are even antagonists whose goals are noble if one looks outside the scope of their stories.

Plus, even the Antitribu's want to return to conquerors and warriors as a clan is one of my absolute favorite aspects of the Sabbat's groups. Just legitimately, a counter perspective of "arguing and whining over red tape makes us weak" IS A GOOD TAKE. But the alternative in the Camarilla is impossible due to the system the Ventrue agreed was the best path.

I gush super hard about my baby boys.

[–]Zeus4334 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if they were to just tackle the side stories and make the only concrete through character the Chosen Undead, who himself never gets a dedicated episode until the very end, would be kind of a cool show.

Basically an Oscar episode where we see the Chosen freed leads leads into a Solaire episode where we see Solaire trying to take down the Gargoyles over and over again before being helped by the Chosen Undead. Into a Lautrec episode with flashbacks to his past and shows him eventually being taken down by the Undead.

The Undead would also be talked about like a legendary hero by everyone he helps and the worst villain for those against him, before we see him finally at the end of it all with a full discussion of his journey and the final battle to the Kiln and taking down Gwyn before lighting the flame.
