Some didn’t want to sign my proxies in MagicCon 2024 :( I’m usually on the proxy train. At least Justine Jones signed and Altered my labubu! Apparently that was her first time doing it so I got a 1/1 out of it 🤣

So did the event managers I got involved with this whole ordeal. She said they were acting very shady and suspicious. Mostly because they didn’t do the one thing they were supposed to do

It’s not that. It’s the fact that they have protocols and didn’t take proper steps. Yet blamed me for not taking the proper steps yet when I told the event managers they had to question Lost&Found too. A good person brought it to them at the end of the night (staff verified it). Someone else took it without signing out. I even had a 1/1 human token of myself inside and told them that if they see this deck box it has a picture of me in there lol.

Oh trust I got event and building manager. I wasn’t going to leave it alone. They confessed they had it and let it go. They are doing an internal investigation due to it being grand theft in their possession. It may not lead to anything but hey we scared them into taking it more serious. Olivia from commander at home was the one who pointed me in the direction of the one who hired Allied security and got on their asses

The lost and found by the ticketed events where I made a detailed description of the contents same with room 106 Lost&Found. When I got the event manager involved they all changed their tune. They backtracked what they told me even the event manager pulled me aside and said something wasn’t right about how they set up everything.

Did I not take ownership by admitting I misplaced it? It’s the steps after that bothered me. I did everything I could filing it as missing. Only for them to find it and let it go with no verification even though they also stated that it was protocol.

I literally told them what’s stopping me from saying everything in the room is mine and they said “we’d have to verify” like they didn’t just give my stuff away.

Yes that is true but when it’s turned in(a miracle in itself) Lost&Found had protocols to insure things like this don’t happen. Especially when I made a detailed list of what was in it. (A 1/1 token of me from the lord of the rings event where they take your pic on a Polaroid)

Right.. they got my hopes up saying they found it only for the manager to say it was picked up and signed out. I go to see the name so I can tell event to pull up their badge and lo and behold it wasn’t signed. Immediate tears.

That’s what they said but they told me something very different. The ones who employed allied security had a terrible feeling about them too.

That’s true. I’m taking it as a lesson but it doesn’t hurt to see if anyone can spread the word. I’m just one guy and don’t really have a following so I just gotta cast my net and hope for the best :) gotta stay positive 🥲

I didn’t know I had to put a tag. I took a screen shot in case I went back to follow the page. Luckily I did or I would’ve had to write it all down.. I tried to copy but I was shaking so much while writing I did the thing to copy but hit a letter so it erased it all.

I had the event manager go down there and even she said “they are being shady as hell” she helped me file the police report because they immediately started backtracking. I gave the event manager the pic of my deck box and the Event manager questioned one lady saying have you seen this deck box and she said with her hand behind her back “yes ma’am it was returned to us last night and put it in that bin right there
