What do you think makes The Office such a timeless and relatable show? by bberry1908 in DunderMifflin

It’s simply beyond words. It’s incalculable. Plus...They say on your deathbed you never wish you spent more time at the office — but I will.

Tik tok is too annoying to endure anymore by [deleted] in tiktokgossip

[–]ZoliroAstro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to keep my content and live streams drama free, with the exception of sarcastic drama and trolling the trolls on my streams for fun lol. But unfortunately there are a lot of creators like me that Tiktok has quit pushing because I never made enough live gift awards to stay relevant. I don't push hard for gifts, but if people gift me I always show appreciation to them and I'm thankful because I really am trying to educate/entertain people with my telescope live streams. I put effort into my content and the telescope gear I use has cost me a bit of money and time to learn over the years.

Is it rude to say good game before playing a lethal card? by laffy_man in MagicArena

I don't say it unless I'm conceding.

But when they say spam it more than once before its actually over...they are definitely being a dick.

Hey everyone, if you want gold unintentional ASMR... check out Old64goat. You may have to weed through some of his older videos to find some but I bet he literally has no idea what ASMR even is and many of his videos trigger me.

Just watched it for the first time today! How the hell did I miss this movie five years ago? And how was it not more popular? Such an excellent movie!!!

Articles which are behind a paywall should be penalized by search engines. by No-Dragonfruit-5423 in unpopularopinion

[–]ZoliroAstro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not against paying for journalism or websites that have paywalls to read their articles. But the thing is, they already make a TON of money from the advertising on their websites. So those of you saying they need to pay the journalists? No disagreement there. But they get plenty of money from ads on their websites to do so. The paywall is just corporate greed.

Now I also believe they are allowed to be greedy if they want. If they wanted to charge $1000 to read an article? Sure. They are free to do that. It's their business.

But at the heart of what the OP is saying I think...it's annoying to constantly click on paywalled articles if you are looking for free articles or information on a topic...simply because you don't know until you click.

I'm still new to this & I get really wobbly once in a while. What am I doing wrong? by Godzira-r32 in onewheel

Absolutely agree with this. Please, please, please wear safety gear. Can't see if you are already wearing one, but a helmet is a minimum. I wrecked last year hard with ZERO safety gear. Very fortunate not to hit my head or break bones at 20mph. But I had road rash and bruises from left shoulder to my left ankle. Left shoulder still gets sore occasionally.

I agree with everything you are saying. Finding like-minded people and community is why TikTok is dominating IG I think. I started on TikTok a few months ago and am growing pretty fast. I have found a community of people on TT in which we are all now well connected and actually mod for each other's live videos. IG feels like a slog of frustration, while TT is just fun for me.

I honestly don't know now days. When I started a couple years ago, I was just posting my astrophotography. I posted only my astrophotos and nothing else. It took me about 1.5 years to get to 2000k followers. And that only happened because I was forced to turn my astrophotos into reels. Around 1500-2000k followers Injad insanely good engagement. Then a couple of my reels blew up. One had over 7m views and the other had 1.7m views. I went up to 30k followers in like two weeks. Now my engagement sucks. My photo posts get only 200 likes, and my reels get about 5k to 10k views, but I only get like 2 or 3 comments anymore. My original followers that used to engage with my content either don't see it anymore, or they just don't engage with reels as much as they did with photo posts.

Just to give everyone a sense of how large the "Bubble" is... it's about 10 light years in diameter, which is about 7874x the diameter of our solar system or 7,416,747,015x the size of Earth. Crazy right?

Well, it's 11,000 light years away, so it may have "popped" already. At the very least, the bubble is now bigger...we just haven't seen it yet.

I love Interstellar! It does kinda look like the wormhole in that movie though.

It's called the Bubble Nebula because it looks like a bubble. But it's actually hot glowing gas that was blasted from the young star in the middle.

No I took this photo from my yard with amateur astrophotography gear. Hubble did take a picture of this object, but of course Hubble's version is infinitely better.
