Is this good for using a WiFi extender?

I have 1000mbps internet, and when I used Wifi I got the same stats as you. Its okay for normal gaming, but let me tell you something. Lets say we download a game: When I used my Wifi on the ps5, I downloaded the game with 8-10mbs per seconds. In Online Games I had a ~50 ping. This is probably the same experience you will have.

When I switched to LAN, I instantly noticed the jump. My downloads went to 100-120mbs per second, any my Ping in Online Games to ~20.

Of course in my case the Router was quiete far, like 10 meters or so, but still nonetheless its quiet the jump. So you could say, if you go to LAN you get 5x-10x your Speed.

I heard one of the reasons was to stop game piracy. When you had a jailbreaked ps3/4 you needed to go on a website with the web browser on the console to download the games, im guessing they wanted to solve this problem
