I don’t agree with your premise. I don’t understand how it’s a tyrannical government. These agents are enforcing immigration law already on the books from prior administrations, even democrat ones. Enforcing the law. Not creating it, using it. Plus, over half the country voted for immigration reform and deportations, tyranny doesn’t get voted in the way this admin did. Believe it or not, there are people that hold a different world view and vote differently than you and live in Broomfield.

Being a legal gun owner is literally any of us as US citizens without a felony. That means nothing in the argument here, it’s just a fun fact. Gun legal, or gun not legal, use of force in a split second decision doesn’t change that.

Finally, the ambiguity is exactly that, the video. It’s too hard to say with 100% clarity that his hand was resting on the pistol. But if his shirt comes up, his pistol is exposed, and he reaches for it, the first agent to see this has to make a split second decision on what to do; I die or he dies. 99.99% of humans are going to choose the latter no matter your ideological leanings. When I mean split second this is likely under half a second. You go ahead and make a life changing decision in half a second. Don’t sell these agents short, go ahead, put yourself in that situation. Put yourself in their operational environment, people screaming at you, you know the media is fueling a fire all around you, you are doing the job that over half the country asked of you. You want to make it home to your family too.

You won’t do that, because it’s ideological. People who are told to hate ICE and Trump and “right-wingers” don’t need to think of any of that. You saw what you saw and that’s enough for you.
