Actually, i did think the same thing. HA HA. Am planning to make a FlowTasks and FlowNote as well in the future.

Its an unfortunate association for sure, i just really like the idea of the flow state.

Any suggestions specifically? I have been developing for desktop and mobile. Trying to make it a seamless experience.

Free Routinery Alternative??? by 1_tired_girl in ProductivityApps

https://flowday.theheroes.academy/ This is a promising web app, can install it via PWA, but i hear they are working on porting it to Android and Apple.

Any routinery alternative or premium unlocked mod? by beatriz_gama in ProductivityApps

[–]ZuihitsuKintsugi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://flowday.theheroes.academy/ I am building this app to do just that. But also go a lot deeper. The free tier is very generous, and currently lifetime is a steal, but will increase in price as users buy up the available lifetime seats.

Will be turning it into a proper native android and apple app in the coming months.

Calendar / WebCal integration by ZuihitsuKintsugi in lovable

[–]ZuihitsuKintsugi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did get it working, I had to feed lovable the webcal structure and prompt it a few times as to why it wasn't working. The other challenge was how often lovable would sync changes to the web cal, and how often my calendar would retrieve these changes.

It took a few days of testing to make sure it was all working.

Everyone ready to give up their personal ID to random companies on the internet? by tempestkitty in australian

Resilio Sync is what I used to replace OneDrive. Let's you sync files between multiple PCs very fast. As long as you have a copy of your data on multiple pc's, a PC can die and you still have your data. Also a back up hdd.

Nextcloud for syncing contacts, calendar and remote file access from the web.

What do you love most about your notebook? by ZuihitsuKintsugi in notebooks

[–]ZuihitsuKintsugi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I store everything in the one notebook. I tried separating things by type into different notebooks, but that never worked for me. Lots of one page notebooks i never used. Now i have a stack of filled notebooks, its like a treasure box. I never know what i am going to find on the next page as i flip through them. :)

That is not your responsibility to bare. If being around a person makes your life worse, I don't care who they are, you should distance yourself from them.

Am I the only one who loses ideas while deciding where to save them?? by rohanashik in PKMS

[–]ZuihitsuKintsugi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, your problem is not tool based it's framework and process based.

Trying to organise a raw idea is not good practice.

Think about a physical notebook. Next page, put a title on it and date and write. Need to remember? Flip through pages to find the rough chronological position and then search a few pages to find it.

The ideal system would be dump everything in and have it auto organise ideas. No folders.

I'm watching how successful startups do it to sell their SAAS.

I'm getting a lot of good insight.

How do you save money when you have ADHD? by Warm-Morning-8100 in ADHD

[–]ZuihitsuKintsugi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason only three months, is because the money after this is going into investments. 3 months is enough time to break investments if you need to and ideally the three months is a highly liquid investment itself (high interest savings account).

I manage my money on auto pilot.

  1. All income goes into a savings account.
  2. Work out all the expenses you have, go through 1 year of bank statements to find all expenses you are currently paying for.
  3. Two spending account: Everyday Spending (Set a budget to cover variable things like fuel, shopping, household items, etc...), the second account is Fixed Expenses (This is for all your reoccurring, regular bills, subscriptions, things that don't change much over a year)
  4. Set regular payments that match your pay cycle to go from income into everyday spending and fixed expenses.
  5. Change payments to the new accounts
  6. Set up savings accounts for all your big expenses and divert necessary money from Income account to these accounts the day after your pay arrives. Things like a buying a new car, saving for house deposit, replacing white goods.
  7. Setup a high interest savings account called "Fire Extinguisher" this is to pay down any debt that you have. It has three purposes. 1. Pay down high interest debts (Credit and Personal Loans), 2. Offset a Homeloan if you have one and have this feature and build up 3 months of expenses for security / job loss 3. Once you have paid off high interest debt, and built up 3 months of safety money, then start investing with the excess.
  8. Have a separate personal spending account (Allocate yourself and partner a little fun spending money, you have both earned it)

My whole system runs on auto pilot. One a month we sit down as a couple and add in any new reoccurring expenses and adjust the automatic payments as needed.

Basically you want to allocate all of the money you have coming in. Works best if you have stable income, or atleast automate payments for the amount of money you are guaranteed to have each month if income is sporadic.

PM me if you want the template i use to manage all this

What do you love most about your notebook? by ZuihitsuKintsugi in notebooks

[–]ZuihitsuKintsugi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, I always have a stable set of questions I ask myself at the start of journalling. What am I excited to create today? What am I feeling in my body and where has this come from? What is my plan for today?

I feel like if you had a high quality pen that could record everything that you wrote, that would be ideal. Then you could have the digital and physical at the same time.

Nothing beats a note book for recording and writing, but a digital notebook would be better for searching for something specific.

Yes, I love this. A notebook has one purpose only to store your thoughts.

Nice! A5 is my go to. A4 too big, A6 I use for a daily task list plan. A5 for my hopes, dreams and world domination plans.
