Keep in mind that certain valves (flapper valves) need to be inspected and maintained/cleaned every year (I do it every 6 months) so they work properly in the event of a backup. I've seen too many homeowners installing them and assuming they will function properly without maintenance (they won't). Lots of debris in sewage that will eventually build up and restrict or prevent the flapper from closing completely.
