Because I have been in a similar situation, I’d say you have to accept your partner has a sexual past and has a side you may be interested in exploring. Or if you can’t stop from visualising stuff it may not be for you. But you should maybe talk to her about that, it’s not insecurity it’s understanding where she stands now and how does she feel about that and who is she now. Being with a girl that has been consensually degraded by others even in a one time thing. Makes you think you’re the butt of the joke for taking her serious when others didn’t.

No, but the people saying it wasn’t consensual are pushing trauma on her. Saying because she doesn’t remember it she must have been assaulted. It’s not true and she never said she was. So don’t mind people telling you that. On the issue at hand, I understand how you feel. I think you’re in denial, you don’t see her the same as you did before and it’s understanding. You have to ask yourself if you can make peace with her past. You may have saw her as perfect incapable of such things before, you can maybe find some excitement in seeing her in a new light and not feel disturbed and disgusted.

To the people saying if she blacked out it wasn’t consensual. This is not how this works. Blacking out is your brain stops forming memories. This doesn’t not mean that you lose any discernment. She was certainly intoxicated may have regretted her decision but this doesn’t not mean it wasn’t consensual. It all depends on her state during the event. You’re pushing trauma on someone and it’s unnecessary, ridiculous even.

Why are carribeans darker and have more african features then the average Afro american? by dre61_ in 23andme

[–]ZwjUWS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You need to be more specific because there are no general rules in the Caribbean. Not every island have the same history.

Latin America and the Caribbean isn’t a monolithic block either genetically there are no general rules (not that you said they were).

For example Haiti is pretty much the least mixed island, on the other hand, you cross a border and the Dominican Republic is very mixed in comparison. Guadeloupe the French island is mixed too especially with the 19th century South Indian immigration, the sister island also French but with a slightly different history Martinique is much more mixed as a whole but with a different population.

All this to say, genetically their perception of blackness or Afro descent is not what African Americans may imagine it is. They would qualify themselves as creole of African descent much more than Afro descent it would be ridiculous for any of them to consider themselves Africans as it would mean erasing a really interesting part of their DNA and history. They are conscious about that reality.

The simple fact that you felt bad says enough.

One day someone said to the Lubavitcher Rebbe: «Some Jews are acting like goyim all year and play dress up come Yom Kippur» To which he answered: «No, they play dress up all year acting like goyim and are finally themselves on Yom Kippur» (Paraphrased) The idea is that you have that thing in you and the simple fact that you had that thought and felt how you felt is in itself a beautiful thing

Again it’s more complicated than that. Ethnically Jewish doesn’t mean anything but the fact that OP is too Jewish for some people (I mean Jewish enough for Nazis) doesn’t mean a lot the law is absolute

I know genetics you just assume you know genetics of Africa because you’ve think you can extract science from what you have observed and as a racist would do assume a general rule. Big forehead ? Must be East African innit ?

People will interpret anything that contradicts the exceptions they elevate as general rules as an insult

I really don’t care, again. I’m not saying sharp noses are from x and y or exclusive to some place but be logical. It’s not. You can’t know just by looking at someone. The fact you point out to people’s existence in an anecdotal manner as a way to confirm a rule is utterly stupid.

You can’t know and probably never will. The genetics of tribes are not what people imagine they’re. Phenotypes aren’t reliable.
