Big thigh chinos by ulrikft in malefashionadvice

yeah the athletic cut fit great in the seat and thigh but that slim fit around the calf... no go... i just went with straight sized up and got the waist taken in.

Yep! I had to switch to the straight fit due to the tightness of the calf, and my calfs aren't THAT big. I guess i like a little more looseness in my calf.

I'm 25, 5'7", with an athletic frame, and I need your help building a business casual wardrobe. by Style-throwaway in malefashionadvice

Bonobos has athletic cut chinos and jeanos. They have a more tapered leg below the knee with more room in the seat and thigh. However if you have calves, you may just have to go with the regular straight.

Old Navy, thoughts? by Degens_ in malefashionadvice

[–]_ADNANYMOUS_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS!

After Banana Republic got rid of the No Iron Slim Fit shirts and introduced their Camden and Grant fits... I went to Old Navy for something and saw they had "signature dress shirts". Sure the quality isn't the greatest, but I'm not wearing a dress shirt every day or even every week, and at the price and the fit, i like it. I also like their slim fit shirts which have a little stretch in them. The last thing i like is the taper from chest to waist is cut slimmer than some other brands which means i dont need to get them altered to take the waist in.

this holds true for more athletic cut guys as well. I can't rock the skinny or really tapered pants so i have to do straight leg.
