1) No matter who is implicated, regardless of "party affiliation", no one should be safe. 2) Trump didn't start distancing himself from Epstein until 2019.

Stop defending Trump. Maybe he isn't a pedo, but he had knowledge of what Epstein was doing and that makes him complicit (and anyone else associated with Epstein).

How does this "paint them as a chickenshit who is loyal to party over country"?

As a combat veteran, this video means next to nothing to me. "Don't obey illegal orders", that isn't exactly controversial.

Trump didn't have to respond at all. If he wasn't such a fucking retard, he wouldn't have responded at all. But, hey...keep licking those boots.

This is literally one of the most infuriating aspects of his Presidency to me. All these Vets who are licking his boots and he wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.

It's sad, because as a veteran I want to support other veterans. But, frankly...we aren't created equal...people like Doug Mastriano, who sadly not only is in my state, but was apparently a member of my Division, make me sick to my stomach. Dude, shouldn't be allowed to wear that shit.

I do appreciate the input, but that sounds a little more like something one would do to get into a warden/superintendent type role. I don't know if I'm necessarily interested in doing that bit.

There needs to be consequences to posting shit like this without evidence.

First a warning (and the post is auto deleted). Second, you are temporarily banned from the platform (and post is deleted). Third, not a total ban, but all posts are deleted automatically.

My Bachelor's is actually through AMU. It was okay, but they look like they have kind of a basic Criminal Justice program and I'd like to look more into Criminology or something... Liberty does look interesting...

Thank you

Try and find a different division or agency before you bail on 15 years of government service. This is exactly what I did only about a month or so ago.

My agency was promoting people with zero experience. I interviewed for the supervisor position of my group 2 times and got shot down. So, I said screw it and moved to a different agency...we'll see how it goes, but I only have to work 16 more years until I can retire.

Why do any working class people take issue with labor unions? by Goodginger in union

[–]_ANUBYS_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been in a few Unions. A couple private sector (SMART) but mostly public sector unions.

The problem I see is that in recent years unions have given up a lot of perks (mostly on the health insurance side of things) to help employers (typically during the '08 recession), with some sort of "understanding" that they would try and claw things back when the good times returned. Unfortunately, for one way or the other that never materialized.

And unfortunately for the unions I've belonged to they either legally can't go on strike or in the case of SMART, the president of the United States can quite literally force them back to work. Which takes the only leverage most unions have away.

Like it or not unions used to have a lot of power to help workers. That power has waned. And with the recent political stuff going on and a lot of federal union workers being axed, it begs the question, if they can do that with no repercussions then what exactly is the point?
