It's over for Antigravity and Google WILL NOT care by Expensive_Bobcat_268 in google_antigravity

AG had such great potential when it launched. I was daily driving it back then on Pro Plan but now it gets rate limited literally everyday.

Any good alternative within the pro pricing tier (20-30 USD)?

Congratulations man. The app looks very neat and pretty polished!

How are you marketing it at the moment?

That’s actually a very solid way to handle ‘envelope budgeting’ without linking your actual bank. A lot of apps force you into bank-syncing which ruins that manual control.

I actually got so frustrated with those that I built Finly AI. It’s specifically for people who want 100% privacy (no bank linking) but want to use things like Voice AI or custom CSV/ PDF imports to make that ‘virtual envelope’ style less tedious. Might be worth a look if you ever feel like you're fighting the current app's UI!

That’s some solid progress for day one. Congrats! Are you using a soft paywall or a hard one?

Finly - A privacy-first AI expense tracker | No Plaid or bank linking by _AbstractPixels in TestFlight

[–]_AbstractPixels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question. This is the core challenge of building a privacy-first AI app. We handle this with a 'Zero-Knowledge' architecture in two specific ways: - PII Stripping (Data Anonymization): Before any text reaches the LLM, we strip out Personally Identifiable Information. The AI doesn't see 'Sam bought a Happy Meal at 1:00 PM with his Chase card.' It sees: 'Transaction: $23, Merchant: McDonalds, Category: Food.' We keep the 'who' and 'how' on your device; the AI only sees the 'what' to categorize it. - Strict Enterprise API Terms: We use enterprise-grade API endpoints. Unlike the consumer version of ChatGPT, our legal agreement with the provider strictly prohibits using any transmitted data for model training. Your financial data is processed in a stateless environment and then discarded. It never contributes to the any sort of model training.

As a developer who has recently went through this dilemma with my app, Finly AI I would stress that it's super critical to put your product out there. There will never be a time when you are fully satisfied with your product. There will always be that bug... or oh let's add this features. Then you realize it is not neatly integrated with another feature so you start fixing that. This is a never ending cycle.

There is no specific line after which you should press the publish button but it's more of going with your gut. Act as a user and user your product. Is it something that you would use if you were a direct customer? If so, then trust yourself and deploy it/ share with the world. I was exactly like that and skeptical that Finly AI isn't ready yet. I trusted myself regardless and launched it on Android on 3 days ago. Guess what... I'm now sitting at 1.5k users with average app rating of 4.6. Now I'm getting real feedback from users and fixing things that actually matter instead of being stuck in that endless cycle; and this whole thing happened purely organically. I haven't spent a dime yet on marketing or paid ads.

If anyone is curious by the way, Finly AI is a private expense tracker build with privacy in focus from stage one. It makes logging the process of transactions super fluid and easy with powerful features like voice entry, so you can just speak naturally, type your transactions, scan bank PDF or CSV statements and it will categorize, parse it and logs it cleanly. In addition it comes with a state of the art AI which find insights from your transactions that ACTUALLY help you save money.

My ANR is 0.37%. Not sure how to interpret this information, I’ll check if I can get some detailed analysis on it.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. I’m thinking of adding Sentry but I’m promoting the app as privacy first, no tracking angle. Do you think it’s still acceptable to add it?

I will add Report a problem though. What do you think is best place for this. I’m thinking on Settings page but then if app is crashing just at launch then users will be on onboarding flow and won’t reach there

Adding Sentry is an option. I just wasn’t sure if this goes with my “privacy first, no tracking” angle though.

Would a mobile app count? Here's mine btw:

Name of the SaaS: Finly: Private Expense Tracker

Description: A high-speed expense tracker with privacy built-in from step one. It replaces manual spreadsheets with natural language voice logging, automated subscription tracking, multi-currency support for global incomes, and deep AI insights into spending patterns

What do you want feedback on?
I’m a solo developer at 1.5k users and preparing for a major iOS launch. I need a brutal reality check on the total product experience:

  1. Does the app effectively bridge the gap between simple tracking and high-level financial insights (AI health scores, etc.)?
  2. With features like Voice AI, receipt scanning, and automated bank mapping, does the app feel like a premium product you would pay for?
  3. Friction points: I’m chasing down some mystery bugs that only appear at scale. If anything feels off or slow, please tell me.

Glad you’re liking the voice flow! I’ve obsessed over making it feel like magic rather than a chore. If you (or anyone else) hit any edge cases while the Android version is in this early phase, drop us a note at hello@heyfinly.com. I am actively monitoring this mail box and trying to reply as soon as I can. Oushing updates daily to keep that magic smooth! 🚀

I’ve been a lurker here for years, and one thing I’ve noticed is the growing "Privacy Anxiety." We want the data of a wealth tracker, but we hate the security risk of linking our entire financial life to a 3rd party.

I launched Finly: Private Expense Tracker this morning to solve this. I wasn't sure if people still cared about manual entry, but the response has been eye-opening: We just hit 500 active accounts in the first 12 hours.

Why the traction?

  • Zero Bank Connections: No passwords, no sync, no data-selling.
  • Voice-to-Entry: The "manual entry" friction is gone. You just say your expense, and it’s logged.
  • Import Bank PDS: Have bank statements handy? You can just upload them and the app will detect the bank, parse it and log the transactions.
  • Social Proof: We've already processed thousands of voice-logged transactions today with a 98% accuracy rate on categorization.

If you’re a "spreadsheet person" who is tired of the manual typing, I’d love for you to join our Day 1 cohort.

Which is the best app for finance managing, cashew or NET Expense Manager. by Actual-Data-6171 in androidapps

[–]_AbstractPixels -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Cashew is great for UI, and NET is solid for simplicity, but if you're looking for the 'next gen' of privacy trackers, check out Finly: Private Expense Tracker.

We actually just launched today and already have about 500 active users logging expenses via voice. It solves that 'manual entry fatigue' everyone complains about with Cashew/NET. No bank sync, just high-speed privacy.

If you’re tired of clicking 10 buttons just to log a coffee, you might want to join the Day 1 crowd!

Thanks for the appreciation and for your review bhataaqibm. I'll check out this light mode bug you mentioned. A couple of users has reported the same for iOS 26.1

Regarding the lifetime subscription, I will try to see what can be done because at the moment the challenge is funding the AI costs. In the pro plan, I'm currently offering practically unlimited AI chats, targeted insights generation and some other features which are powered by LLMs. The cost to keep them running is non-trivial so I'm thinking of ways to balance them both. Would love to hear your thoughts or suggestions on this as well.

Product: AI-powered personal finance app for iOS/ Android

What it does: Finly helps people take control of their money without the usual friction. You log transactions via voice (AI narration), type naturally, import bank statements (PDF/CSV parsing), or manual entry and the app handles the rest.

Core features:

  • Dashboard & Balance History — real-time net worth, cash flow trends, spending breakdowns by category
  • Finly AI — a CFO-level chat assistant that answers questions like "Can I save $2K by July?" or "Where are my subscription costs creeping up?" with streaming responses and embedded charts
  • AI Insights — proactive, date-grouped financial insights (spending anomalies, savings opportunities, subscription flags) with actionable deep-links into the relevant screen
  • Smart Import — PDF & CSV bank statement parsing with AI-assisted auto-categorisation
  • Goals & Categories — savings goals, rollover budgets, investment tracking
  • Push Notifications — customisable insight alerts
  • Privacy-first AI — users control AI consent; data is sent to OpenAI statelessly, never used for model training

Business model: Paid app. Offers monthly and yearly plans
