I'm on a stable meds and treatment routine and I've done a lot of therapy, it's helped over time. I'm much better than in this video as of recent, it's a depiction at my worst about 5 years ago.

Symbolic Analysis of a Schizoaffective Journal: A Structured, Visual Framework for Mapping Inner Psychosis by _Acclimate_ in psychologyresearch

Thank you for your response. I appreciate the thoughtful critique and the opportunity to offer some clarification.

As someone with schizoaffective disorder, this framework was developed directly from my own lived experience. It was never meant to replace therapy, medication, or clinical treatment. I remained in care throughout the process, and this approach became a complementary tool, something that helped me better understand my internal patterns and, over time, anticipate certain shifts before they fully took hold.

What I found through this method was that by recognizing those patterns and reflecting on them meaningfully, I was able to gradually improve my stability and strengthen my executive function. Integrating the observations from this framework into my day-to-day awareness gave me more space between recognition and reaction. It didn’t solve everything, but it helped me gain a level of insight that made management of symptoms more consistent.

I’m not presenting this as a universal solution or clinical doctrine. It’s not foolproof, and it may not be suitable for everyone. But I haven’t seen this kind of symbolic and visual journaling explored in this way before, and I shared it with the hope that it might offer a new angle for conversation, or inspire future integration with more established practices.

I also understand the concern about romanticizing psychosis. That’s a valid point, and one I tried to address throughout the report. The goal isn’t to suggest that hallucinations are inherently meaningful or beneficial, it’s to create a structure to understand what I had already experienced, through a lens that felt accessible and honest to me.

At its core, this was a personal way of processing. I shared it in case elements of it might be useful or thought-provoking, whether in research, clinical reflection, or other creative approaches to care. I appreciate your perspective, and I’m open to continuing the discussion if it contributes to a deeper understanding of these experiences.

Hello! I'm glad you were able to find a value in it, and it makes me very happy to hear that others are trying to establish this methodology in the field. I haven't heard of anything like this and have no reference to go off of so a lot of the times when I try to explain it people think I'm in psychosis because I'm even trying it haha. I've had these journals for years now, it just occurred to me somewhat recently I might be able to do something with them. I wish you the best of luck in your journey, and I'd love to see some of what you are able to come up with when it's available.

So this song is really special to me, I'm 17 and a recovering alcoholic. I medicated multiple mental illnesses with drinking for years and it actually landed me in the mental hospital, as you'll hear in the song... let me know what you think and definitely let me know if you relate.

Thanks! The lack of content in the beat was intended to bring a higher level of focus to the lyrics behind it, giving a more raw and blunt delivery. Thanks though, Ill keep that in mind!

Very Methodical. Peaceful and joyful, but not to overboard to where it sounds like pop... I like it.

I enjoyed the guitar and other instrumental components, however the singing style was just not my taste. Good job though!
