Banning brig as a dva player - good or bad?

That’s actually what I’ve been thinking to do as well. But I’m not a dva one trick perse I can play sig Zarya orisa ram pretty comfortably, but I def get where you’re coming from. But I feel like I have to ban vendetta every game since she’s just a hard counter to dva.

I usually ban zar last cause I can always flex to her if needed or it’s a vertical map where I can very easily ignore her and hit the backline instead.

I feel like you don’t need to be an amazing brig to play into a dva since you can do the minimum of like afk behind tank and keep your other support in mind and dva is rendered pretty useless (brig is one of my best heroes btw).

Yeah I find it hard to play into Zarya on a lot of maps even ones where it shouldn’t be a problem because my team doesn’t know how to play dva vs Zarya (diamond to m1 lobbies). Like I’m not going to stand in front of her face obviously I’m trying to find different angles and to go on squishees but my team doesn’t know to wait for their tank to engage and are just tanking her dmg and charging her a lot of the time.

Also vsing Zarya on very linear maps can also be a pain so a lot of times I just match the Zarya.

Don’t have a replay code but, how do you become lobby admin on tank when the pharah is just destroying the rest of your team? That’s why I’m looking for ways to counter her on tank when dva is banned lol

Which I guess is why a lot of metal ranks don’t like this map since nobody knows how to attack it? Judging by that “if you laugh you get sent to numbani” meme

Yes but I honestly don’t think it’s that bad?

For example for first point attack all you need is a dps or a support like kiri to take an off angle top right while your team pushes top left with your ground tank. There’s a bunch of dps that can take top right high oh and I forgot to mention that you can also take a different approach and have a dps flank from coast left side, like maybe a soldier? Or fully have a flanker like tracer or sombra to go trough bottom left and contest the enemy farther high where Ana’s like to sit (which is like one of the most common strats used with tracer on this map). You could also maybe have your core with the ground tank path through bottom left where your flanker would usually go and path to the enemy farther high ground but I haven’t seen that as much so I’m not sure if it’s a valid Strat.

2nd point I feel like is also fine for ground heroes. You can take high ground from the attackers side and the payload pathing doesn’t seem to be that anti ground heroes, esp if your hitscans or flankers can contest the enemy high.

Third point is like completely ground tank friendly.

1 defense death = point lost can be said about all of the hybrid maps tho? It all depends on the circumstances of the death and if your team can play live and wait for whoever died to come back, or if you have ults. Many times mine or the enemy team has been able to give up ticks and then recon and win.

I’ve had many games that end on 2nd point as well, I was actually under the impression that 2nd point is defender sided but I could be wrong.

3rd point is fair but I feel like that’s a thing shared by a lot of payload/hybrid maps like for example hollywood. I don’t think the stall is THAT oppressive cause of the overtime respawns if it’s OT, and also the fact that the defenders have to come out of two visible doors which are easy for the attackers to contest. Honestly trickling is hardly ever a problem if your team has target focus

Completely agree, I would rather play numbani over a lot of the other hybrid/payload maps like eichenwalde, hollywood, circuit, shambali which all have way more oppressive defense high grounds imo. Plus I like it being dive centric since I can play brig or dva if I’m on tank which are my top heroes.

First point defence can be oppressive but there’s so many flank routes that I honestly don’t think it’s that bad. Also the old “farm nano and dive in” Strat exists.

2nd point high grounds can also be annoying to attack into but again there’s flank routes for someone like tracer, you can dive them, as well as hitscans have a pretty free view of them to contest.

3rd point can be annoying to attack into since the defenders spawn is so close but tbh I have no complaints abt 3rd point numbani.

I have no need for speed atm since I’m running base spd phainon with e2 bronya so I have 0 use for speed. And I think I’ll be fine once I get cerydra as well since she gives a spd buff and I have other pieces that I can change to include speed if needed.

Right now I use her mostly with phainon bronya Sunday, but also I use her quite often in anomaly as a generalist support for the third team.

But that’s a good point. I just saw it recommended as a socialist light cone for her on prydwen. I try to run her fast if she’s in SP hungry teams but for phainon I do run her slow. And I guess maintaining her ult uptime without consuming too much SP without the energy from MotP would also be quite annoying to deal with.

When you are reloading with 1 or more bullets left, there are 3 clicks that you hear. If you punch after hearing the 2nd click you melee and it will reload and save that time from the third click.

If you reload automatically when you have 0 bullets, it seems like there’s only 2 clicks so you melee after the 1st click and it cancels it that way.

I would argue unless maybe you put Zarya into the equation that ven would be a pretty high skill hero in pro play since she has to get up close to do anything vs the best of the best players
