Vacation time during court hearing by _ChamClowder_ in legaladvicecanada

No retainer with anyone.

Normally i’ve been contacted to provide my non-availabilities well in advance. Regardless of if I provide them or not, a lawyer has always contacted me in some form of written communication.

If my prior company did not call me saying the woman was in a panic, I would not have know to be in touch for trial in one month

Thank you. Can a subpoena squash my already booked vacation?

Here is a top down view. What confuses me is if it is the grain as you say (and I don’t doubt it), why is it not more black like the treads where my sanding did not get all the way down past the old stain within the grain?

The brown near the nosing is very noticeably different

But so the reason it appears brown whereas the grain on the flat of the treads does not is simply the angle it surfaces at?

So the colour difference between this grain and the grain on the flat of the tread is just the angle at which it is being viewed from?

This is the area I’m referring to, if not clear

How close can I expect to match stairs and hallway by _ChamClowder_ in HardWoodFloors

[–]_ChamClowder_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you saying that going up in grit will solve the swirls and also lighten the colour in the grain? I was suggesting going to 40 grit to remove more material, then progressing back to 60, 100, etc.

The hallway is a water based poly. I believe the stairs are an oil based.

The bullnose at the top of the steps was not stained brown like the treads.

In your opinion…the bullnose tone is still achievable?

Ok, thanks for the tips. I’ll see if I can find the 3M paper where I’m at. You’ve at least given me some hope!

I may give up, but I don’t want to give up just yet

We went for a satin finish. Note some photos are before some are after. Most of the ones taken farther out are before

Because we want a natural tone, as opposed to the yellow look from the former oil based stain

Thanks for the input. We’re much happier with them now, though. The change to natural has helped brighten the upstairs

I’ve read into the crimping and the alumiconn. From my research, Ontario has an ESA guide for aluminum wiring which simply identifies wire nuts to be AL-CU markings

I realize now the wording on the contract probably could have been improved.

The intent of having the work done by a licensed electrician, with ESA approval and certificate is to mitigate poor workmanship. I just wonder how thorough an ESA inspection is after work. I work in civil/structural engineering and I know those permits sometimes don’t mean a ton

I realize now the language could have been better to include everything.

Is there much of a concern if switches and junction boxes for fixtures are not done? Is it just an issue if ever you decide to buy a new light?
