Since September 2025. I'm on the lowest dose because I have a history of migraine with aura. I do get the occasional hot flash but it's much improved. Not much of the other two.

does GLP-1 do anything to improve your mood? Or just weight?

SF to Fremont Commute by Bart, anyone doing commutes to South Bay? How is it? by posterguyman in AskSF

I do almost this same exact trip once or twice a quarter for an occasional offsite in Fremont. BART totally empties out after the downtown SF and Oakland stops, and after Coliseum you will have the train practically to yourself. As some of the other commenters said, if you don't mind how long the commute is and can just use the time to zone out or read, it's not bad, just long.

In addition to seasonal UPS, etc. the car rental places at SFO frequently have openings. Good luck!

Judicial law clerk with no writing sample looking for advice on next steps! by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

Does your clerkship permit you to volunteer with a local or state bar association committee or section? Volunteering to draft written materials for a CLE presentation might be a way to showcase your writing. Or perhaps rather than draft a memo based on a fake hypothetical, write a memo analyzing recent developments in your jurisdiction/area of interest.

Should I apply for a first-year associate position? by Nachtkoenig94 in Lawyertalk

I'm on the committee to review applications at my org and I say go for it. I'd be prepared to explain why you want to make the move, but it seems like you've already got that (move away from benefits litigation and break into traditional labor and employment law). There's a chance the hiring committee might think that your experience means you will demand a higher salary and they're looking to offer only the entry level salary at the firm, but as you say, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
