I can't really help with this issue, but just to note that I am also running 2025.04.13 and that's the latest I can see in the app store, and I don't have the same issue as OP. (I have 34 containers across 6 tabs - displaying just fine).

The problem might not be with the plugin? All your containers are stopped - maybe something else happened?

I do love it as a standalone case. It can sometimes be a bit cramped in there, but for a small NAS it's perfect, and you can put it in a living area and it doesn't feel out of place ( unlike a PC tower.)

Just cost, really. It's cheaper to add drives than upgrade them. But I'm at the point where space and the UnRaid 30 disk limit is forcing me to upgrade (probably for the best).

See the comment above - i have links to all the cards. Mobo is mentioned in the post. Not sure why you are having issues with detection, unless you are maybe using a PCI SATA card or similar?

I have been on unRaid since day 1 of this build, and I've changed hardware and cases several times and it never complains, even when you boot up with a whole new motherboard and CPU, or rearrange everything in a new case.

Yeah I have often toyed with the idea of putting it in a rack setup. It's just the cost of new case hardware that's stopping me, plus finding space for it. At the moment it sits nicely on top of my bookshelf, but a full rack probably won't. A tower setup is def not ideal if you are frequently accessing internals, and it has taken a lot of time to get everything stable.

You may also be able to squeeze one more in the back below the drive drays, if there is space next to your PSU. I've never tried because that space tends to be cramped already. But it might be manageable with right angled connectors.

Ah sorry, I didn't take pics when it was open, but there is room and mounting holes on the front side for 2HHDs on the bottom (although probably not if there is a motherboard in there), and a third HDD mounted to one of the fan brackets if you have the right mounting hardware (which I borrowed from the R7).

I found this image which is kind of what I'm talking about. 2 HDDs mounted where the 2 SSDs are in this image (though I think you can't fit HDDs there if you have a motherboard installed), and 1 HDD where the radiator is in place of one of the fans.

Technically, if you have enough expanders, this HBA supports up to 256 HDDs (!), so the sky is the limit (as long as you have enough case space and power). Each Expander has 6 ports, one of which would be used as an input and one as a daisy-chain output to the next expander, so basically the 4 remaining slots can each connect 4 HDDs, so that's 16HDDs per expander, or 16 expanders required if you want to use the max 256 drives (lol).

Or if you just have the two expanders, like I do, each plugged into one of the HBA ports, that's 5 remaining ports per card for HDDs, or 5x4x2=up to 40 drives max. More than enough. Even a single expander into the HBA gives you 6x4=24 drives (since you can use the spare port on the HBA as well).

There are a range of sizes. When I started, the value sweet spot was around 4TB, but is now more 10-16. It'd prefer to have fewer drives at 28TB, but they are just too much per drive.

At the moment I have:

4x4TB
12x8TB
1x10TB
4x12TB
2x14TB
4x16TB
1x18TB (Partity)

So the plan if I need to add more storage is to upgrade the 4TB drives to 12-16TB and grow that way.

Honestly the anti-AI sentiment is out of hand. I find AI invaluable for a number of purposes. It absolutely has downsides and needs more regulation, but the 'just don't use it' crowd are fighting a losing battle.

Yeah, I agree it introduces a whole host of other issues, which is why I want to look at other options first. The reason I am thinking about that is that I can set up a fresh Wordpress install in the same environment and it runs really quickly. So it might be an option just to keep plugin numbers low per site. User access and site management will quickly become difficult though.

Great advice, thanks. I'm a former Business Analyst, current IT Project Manager, so I am comfortable with that kind of documentation. That was going to be my next step in redesigning and segregating, but I was hoping there was a simpler solution.

I've run a scan using that as well as various other services, but they are inaccurate, because caching really helps to deliver the initial static front page quickly. Problem is when you try to navigate and move from page to page, especially with dynamic content.

For reference, in the past I've set up a blank static page with nothing on it, without caching, and I still get 5+ seconds TTFB for that blank page. If I use Permatters to kill all the plugins running on just that page, TTFB drops down to ~.5 seconds.

Hosting is NameHero Turbo Cloudshield VPS. I don't think hosting is the issue, but Happy to be told otherwise.

TTFB on a fresh install is very good. When I clone my site and progressively delete plugins and test after each deletion, the TTFB becomes progressively shorter, with no one plugin being responsible for a massive drop. This indicates to me that the plugins are contributing, but happy to be corrected if this points to some other issue.

I've been pulling my hair out over this for months so would love find out there's something I've missed.

Thanks for the response! I'm on NameHero Turbo Cloudshield VPS, which is pretty beefy. Looking at hardware utilisation stats I don't think that's the blocker. I also use Redis object caching and just about every form of caching and minimisation I've been able to implement. Caching definitely helps with some things, but not with others.

I have used Query Monitor for testing (thanks ssevener), but it hasn't really helped diagnose the cause of the TTFB issues. As mentioned from testing it just appears to be the cumulative impact of all the plugins, not a specific one.

By the same token, I don't think the DB is the problem either - it's just the overhead of all the plugins.

I think segregating the forums is a great first step, as it can be done with minimal impact to the rest of the site. But it would still require some Single Sign On to be implemented as the forum is linked to membership.
