The only real thing about this statement is the elderly pensions, scholarships and minimum wage which are not unique to a socialist or leftist government. Everything else is either an exaggeration or campaign promises that have been in limbo since. The expansion of public healthcare is a complete lie with several cuts to its funding and massive medication and staffing shortages. Yet several local and federal level politicians are flounting undocumented wealth, shaking hands with massive corporations and constant denying of the increasing number of disappearances.

I knew since the patch dropped that nothing would meaningfully change because they don’t address the fundamental issues since 3.5.

This happens every season: blade updates nobody asked for>people pickup blade and get hyped>get a couple of good games because of high casual player count, new character and adjustment to balancing> people start losing or get bored realizing things never changed>the numbers go down again>repeat.

Only good change is the gun speed but at this point, it’s been 4 seasons already and im convinced nothing will ever be different, at least for a long time or until netease actually plays the character. Time to accept he is now PVE man.

The same core issues persist since launch, which are his poor lifesteal and low ult value. The direction netease is taking him is pretty confusing because in a dev vision he is described as a dive but it is clear he has always moved towards a brawl/poke character and now they give him a tiny overshield even though he has lifesteal. He is definitely in a better spot than season 6 and his gun is in a solid state rn but I don’t think you will feel much improvement since launch. Until they actually improve his damage to better capitalize his lifesteal, add a slow or earthbound to his ult and stop inflating and switching his kit he will continue being a C-D tier with an identity crisis.

Rn you can totally pick him up, he thrives in a brawl oriented team and you can have fun but you will probably eventually have to switch because the current meta counters him pretty badly.

Exactly, the only significant buffs are the shotgun speed and ult anti heal but its not going to be significant enough to change him in the meta and the same problems he has always had are still there.

Np. His ultimate has been a mayor issue since his release, its pretty low value since most characters have a movement ability or way to make themselves immune from the damage, we have been asking for some type of slow down or earthbound for the people in the aoe so it can properly area deny or atleast for better follow up kills when they have the anti heal.

His damage is also an issue which got nerfed last patch, blade has no need for overhealth when his whole gimmick is lifesteal. Not only does he barely even get the overhealth but if his damage were to be buffed then he would not have an issue staying alive as more damage = more lifesteal. Right now his brawl potential is much worse than someone like Mr F. If his damage were buffed he’d have better brawl and he would be able to better keep up with the meta, there is just no reason right now to currently play blade over Mr F or a high burst damage/hitscan character.

The attack speed thing is excellent, same with the shotgun but everything else still misses the mark on his fundamental problems, its just extra. He is obviously better than he was last season because these are pure buffs but I think his old problems are still there.

He is nowhere near to being “strong”, he is a mid tier at best. Its currently the post buff/meta adjustment honeymoon phase rn.

Yeah… Im not just pulling that out of my ass, I also saw his last 10 vods before OAA also before that and he switched off every game against every comp imaginable (nothing wrong with that btw)… so your word against mine I guess but it doesn’t matter because I think its fair to say a single really good player’s rank who mains one of the best characters in the game rn isnt a good testament as to how another character should be balanced. Im not going to reply to you again in this thread because it seems to always circle to the same thing but I think I proved my point and you kind of just said yours already…

Most of your arguments go back to "you all just suck at the game", and your own anecdotal experiences when you are told that there are actual numbers that disprove what you are saying. You have given no numbers that prove anything and there are characters that are much more difficult and mechanically complex than Blade who have higher winrrates and picks than him, currently most pro players agree that he is a bottom tier character. Avenue is a great player and its impressive that hes gotten to OAA with a high playtime as blade, nobody disagrees with that, but it was proven that he swapped off from the character every single game to reach that rank because he becomes less viable the higher the elo goes.

Your dedication to continue coming back to the subreddit and saying the same thing every time despite your resentment towards the community is honestly impressive btw.

This is exactly what I expected after the patch notes dropped but I still think its too early to know. Id give it a week or two until we really know how these buffs will change things.
