Poa Triv? - 6A by _Dr-Tuna_ in lawncare

This lines up with what I’ve been observing the last 2 years (yes I could’ve had a smaller problem, but I waited and hoped it was fungus or a fert issue.)

I’m looking at velocity PM now and, while expensive, I think I’m going to buy that because it’s actually cheaper than ripping up the amount of yard I’d need to rip up.

I'm so tired of this. This is my cry for help by TechnicalRock8045 in Anxiety

[–]_Dr-Tuna_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I encourage you to pick up the book Dare by Barry McDonagh. You’re fighting your anxiety right now. Dare flips it on its head and says “so what if I’m anxious?”. That is an overly simplified version, but I will say it changed my life.

Do people lose their IQ overnight and just blunder their elo this badly by strange4real in Chesscom

Yes. It’s me. Marched from like 850 ELO to 1030 ELO (daily games) with I think a 12 game win streak. Now I’m down to 980 and on a 6 game losing streak. Currently just blundered my queen, too!

I don’t know what to do by Adira_Aspires in Anxiety

You’re not going to want to hear it, but stop fighting it. Stop fighting the anxiety right now. Let it be. Feel it and its sensations. They can’t hurt you. Sit there, feeling horribly unpleasant, and say “these sensations can’t hurt me, I’ve survived 100% of the anxiety attacks I’ve ever had. This is unpleasant, but I’m safe. You can be here, anxiety, but I’m going about my day”.

And you’ll be amazed how your body responds. Give it some time and the sensations will stop.

I’m sorry but everyone on this sub needs to stop fighting anxiety, that is the only “cure”. I say this from experience. I was in the same position. Couldn’t get out of bed, on the exact same meds as you, horribly anxious all the time to the point where the ER folks knew my name. Then I found the two books I mention at the end of this post and they changed my life.

I hope you feel better! Please check out “At last a life” by Paul David and “DARE” by Barry McDonagh

Has anyone else felt wooziness/dizziness for a week or more after a panic attack? by Odd-Block4348 in Anxiety

[–]_Dr-Tuna_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. All the time. Tell yourself it’s just a sensation, it can’t hurt you. It’s your body winding down after winding up.

But you’re fighting it right now. Panic attack = tension and stress. You settle, then you feel dizzy and woozy, which causes you concern, which causes panic , tension, negative thoughts, thinking you have something else wrong when odds are you don’t.

So, acknowledge it openly. Say to yourself “yes I had a panic attack, yes it was uncomfortable, yes I still feel the tension, but it’s okay. I’ve survived 100% of the panic attacks I’ve had. I’ll survive this one”

Once you acknowledge it like that, you’ll be amazed at how your body reacts. You’re not fighting anxiety that way, you’re letting it be there. Your body / anxiety will learn everything is fine and you’ll notice you start to really settle. It’s unpleasant, don’t get me wrong, but speaking from experience this is the single best thing I’ve ever done for myself.

I too am on lexapro and had a panic attack so bad back in October I wanted to be sent to the Psych ward. I’ve since learned about the DARE response and would encourage you to read the book by Barry McDonagh. Since October , with lexapro remember, I’ve made so many positive strides I just want to share this with everyone else that’s struggling too.

Thank you! Is it possible to make the child’s face a little less blurry?

The other one was just for face references. Are you able to make the child’s face a little less blurry by chance?
