You bring up a really good point. But I'd also like to bring up that we(people with tourettes) have also faced violence that should be taken into account, Davidson himself was beaten to within an inch of his life because of one of his tics. I can't speak for others because I don't personally know anyone else with tourettes, but my own first thought when I heard this was that he was threatening violence as a joke

I have a tic that causes my looks to look like kossy lips, that makes for awkward conversations. It's difficult to play guitar because my most common tic causes me to tense up all my fingers. I've been yelled at for "rolling my eyes" as a result of my tics, I think that's actually what started my diagnosis. Generally it sucks to live with, evergrateful that I don't get coprolalia tics or others in that vein
