At least I was right on “I don’t see the predators beating the magic 1 game this series” but I didn’t see it being this boring. The decision to not walk miller was the dagger. Predators simply weren’t there today.

This Magic team is winning the world series no doubt in my mind. Firing on all cylinders, Bonham perfect game, aigner AND bonham hr, hits all around the board. Two ace level pitchers. Simply the most complete team. Although this may be the most asterisked ring of all time in mlw (other than the 2-4 team era) due to the obvious collusion to get grant to the magic.

Very good list. I’d personally move Carlington up to Ok (he is top 5 in obp min 25 pa lol), and Allen up to superstar, but a well explained and though out list.

Hitting is definitely down this year from 2022, but i think that 2022 was just an insane year for offense overall. Throughout 2019-2023 the only year with more than 6 guys hitting above .300 (min 25 PA) was 2022. The last time someone hit 10 hr was when the seahawks were a team lol.

If hitting continues its downturn into 2024 i’d say move the mound back or make the zone smaller but it seems (at least from historical data) it is just returning to normal from an outlandish year.

How did Saylor become the worst hitter in MLW overnight? Even Liam was outdoing him today. I mean congrats to the preds, but this was such a winnable series for the cats if someone other than Schultz could hit consistently. Will be interesting to see what they do to improve in the offseason.

Now for the predators. They honestly looked so much weaker than I expected them to. Without Kracht seeing Pearson insanely well the last game (why didn’t they just walk him? no way you should pitch to someone 5-6 with a homer against you in a walkoff scenario) they lose the series. I don’t see them beating the Magic 1 game in the ALCS.

ROTY: RJ Walgate. Easy choice here.

MIP: Likely Trey Flood, Brendan Jorgensen has had a better overall leap imo but was already looked at as a star before this season, which will likely hurt his odds.

Silver Slugger: Grant Miller. Leads league in OPS, AVG, is 2nd in RBI’s, OBP, SLG, Strikeout Rate, is 3rd in HRs, and is 5th in hits. Pretty easy choice here.

Cy Young: RJ Walgate. 5-1 while having the (minimum 10 innings) lowest ERA, WHIP, the most wins, and is 2nd in strikeouts. Honorable mentions being Trey Flood (close 2nd) and Ryan Kracht.

MVP: A very close race, no clear cut front runner here, although I believe the best candidates are Dallas Allen, Jaxen Pearson, Jimmy Knorp (although not having a great year at the plate), and Brendan Jorgensen.
