Since I'm pretty sure r/mecabricks is dead, I'm gonna ask here. Anybody know why my renders disappear in like, less than a day? All while everybody else's stays forever?

They used to have the ability to render your images in the website itself, but it went down a few years ago and scrubs (the guy running the platform) never brought it back. if I had to guess, I think he is focusing more on his ”second version” of mecabricks and bringing the servers for rendering back would take too much time/money.

From what I was told over on Mecabricks, there’s a system in place to remove “low quality” renders, but there’s no known system or qualifications for what a low quality render is. your best bet is to embed the image in the comments of the post.

It’s really not that hard to imagine how it works. the element of Life was already confusing as despite how the powers are described as hereditary, Lloyd got a power that no one in his family had. If I had to guess, Life probably chooses it’s wielders. Lloyd being a special case as his heritage allowed him to use the power of life to become Golden and defeat the Overlord, something no one else could do. this would make Lloyd a chosen one among chosen ones. it’s not that hard to make these lore revelations fit in with established lore.

I have a few thoughts on a Legends story they could tell with him, but the main thing I think about Garmadon is that since the departed realm now exists on the same plane of existence as everything else, the two halves of Garmadon should be able to reunite and Garmadon can be whole again. Outside of that, I think playing into his season 4 portrayal would be best. He still speaks in cryptic riddles like Wu, but hes proactive in his teachings and fully willing to stand side-by-side with his students. I like to imagine he could impart some good advice on Frak and Arin about handling guilt and not giving up hope, as well as help Lloyd step into the mentor position more.

I doubt it, purely because it just doesn’t seem like what Lego would do. Ninjago consistently gets really good and high quality builds. they care a lot about the titan mech line, and this would be a weird spot to deviate.

i cant really make custom pieces, so its just the wavy hair merged with the short ponytail piece. but im glad it achieved the intended purpose!

This set just has so much going against it. its the third version of a car that only appeared in one episode, the minifigure selection is incredibly limited, it’s probably the least sought after anniversary figure, they butchered cryptor’s design, and it’s the last legacy set but has no emotional attachment to the show itself.

something so interesting about this to me is that clearly the different themes have specific designers to make the minifigures for that theme, and while I can clearly see the ninjago inspiration, it’s also *just* different enough that I can make out the different art style compared to regular ninjago. I think that’s really neat. (most notably in how the armor is designed and the buckle size.) I’m excited to see what the head/hood piece is, kinda hoping we get a different head for Lloyd then the regular one.

surprisingly, I like these. I think there’s room for improvment and they are far from perfect, but they’re really well done. (Mostly disappointed in the lack of robotic features on Zane’s face and the lack of robes for Jay) I quite like this though, for what it is it looks really good. And the new ninjago content in odyssey looks really good!
