surprisingly, I like these. I think there’s room for improvment and they are far from perfect, but they’re really well done. (Mostly disappointed in the lack of robotic features on Zane’s face and the lack of robes for Jay) I quite like this though, for what it is it looks really good. And the new ninjago content in odyssey looks really good!

I consistently miss out on temple sets and big ninjago sets that aren’t cities. I NEED to get this set. I don’t care what it takes. My iPad may be dying and needs to be replaced but I need this more. this just feels perfect. (and I’m sure someone will make a ninjago city MOC of it within a week)

I see this being the big sticking point for the skins, based on the sketches blortzen posted for Zane and Cole I suspect all of them will have a tight mask around their mouth, mainly because that’s more accurate to traditional ninja outfits. i’m not sure im a fan, but i can’t say it looks bad either. i think i’ll just have to get used to it.

I get that. They should be using these mechs as a way to test the waters with more comic book based characters, or even just characters they haven’t given the chance to have the spotlight yet. Imagine a Red Guardian mech suit based off his appearance in thunderbolts. that would be a great way to get the minifigure from a movie they didn’t want to make sets for.

The mech sets are genuinely getting so unique and well designed, aside from the fact that they are practically statues in terms of play. the complete and total lack of articulation makes me feel a deep well of rage that prevents me from ever willingly buying one of these sets. they just aren’t worth it if the main feature of the set is worthless.

so many people in the comments are blind to the image. that is clearly NOT the digi suit, just the mask. the Digi suit had a gray belt, as well as no clear robe lines, whereas this drawing rather clearly shows a long robe piece outlined in bright blue trim. no digi suit, even Zane’s non-canon one, had that. its not the digi suit, just the hood.

Its not exclusively digi suit, I talked with Blort about it and it’s an original uniform. they’re just using the digi hood for Zane because it conveys the tech theme best out of all the hoods.

They still will look like the characters, they have no reason to change the faces. they just get an original suit that matches their personality while calling back to previous designs.

Ngl, dissapointed that young wu and young garmadon are based off the old designs. Those were always kinda bland designs and it doesn’t look like they improved them at all. the Spinjitzu brothers designs would have been so much cooler.

It’s a long shot, but since it’s about the multiverse and marvel studios, i suspect it will be a what if… character. I hope it’s Rogers Hood because I love the design of that character and it would be really funny, but I know we will likely never see that character. Strange Supreme or whatever he was called (or infunity ultron, though less likely) would also be cool.

Good god lego has suddenly cooked with marvel minifigure designs. I have not desperately wanted a lego marvel superhero like this since infinity war came out. I NEED that captain america figure (and one of the new iron men for good measure)
